That may be posted elsewhere here on Vital. Have you tried searching 1982 YZ250 projects? I could have sworn I saw them in PDF in a thred here.

I'm surprised someone hasn't put them all together in one place .Al Gore made the Internet for things like this , not just naked pictures of girls

As I recall the Wrench Report came out in the Spring of 1982. There wasn't much to it. I think it said, "When the YZ250K is released in October trade in your YZ250J at your local Yamaha Dealer."

I'm paraphrasing of course.

RJ would have won the '82 outdoor championship on one had his wheel not blown up IIRC in the last round. His success on basically a stock bike was a factor in Yamaha switching to production-based bikes in '84. I agree though, the '83 was a much improved bike (and great looking also).

This and Broc beating DB on a 490 is absolutely amazing to me. I dont feel RJ and Broc ever really got the credit that was due for winning. And the 250 and 490 are thought of as piles of poop. They must be decent bikes. They beat Donny Hansen and DBs Works Hondas enough times. I still dont want one though.

Don't forget RJ winning the 250 outdoor title in '84 with a Wrench Report modded YZ with an Ohlins shock and SImons Anti-Cavitator forks against Ronnie Lechien on an awesome RC250! Yamaha really was able to take championships at a point of massive technological dominance by HRC.
