I restored this bike 2005, and raced it about a dozen times at Ahrma/ Midwest vmx events. fun bike.
Always when sitting in the staging area, people could not believe/ or would ask if i was going to race the bike.
They were always surprised that I was going on the track to trash on it. Yes was always my response
even in a mud race
I used this bike to test cylinder porting, pipes. I tested 77,78,78.5 cylinders
The best set-up for the 77-78.5 RM250's is the small 76-77 pipe/ or small cone pipe
long silencer, mild port cleaning/deck cylinder, up the main
the pipe pictured on the bike is the 78/78.5 c/c2 pipe which actually was a low-mid pipe
only not much on top( I did not like the performance of that pipe)
The bike was sold a few years back, with the pipe and cylinder set-up for low to mid
and easy riding

A friend of mine has it now. He still races it, I do a little work on it now and then, a sweet bike...

I will have to look for the file on the bike
If that is the cylinder it left mn with, is still on
the bike,
Try a short head pipe 76-77 style / stock pipe
And see how different the power output is!
77 jemco pipe, would also work
Never tried a pro form
I have a 1st place Ahrma race trophy i won, riding that bike.

Rob, what is the story with them. Did PDI make them, themselves? Did they start with a stock arm?
