Cordis Brooks, Larry Roesler (sp), Mitch Mayes, Mitch Peyton (sp) So.Cal,
(Dink Wilelder, Mike Mayes, Jeff Harper, Bill Oerding Jr, Kevin Davis, Jerry Turner, Kevin Steele, Lenny Giger RIP, Troy Fitch RIP, Suan Steele, Paul Emerson, Marv Chapman) So.NV

P.S. Raced against Greg Toyama @ Saddleback in 75' 1st Moto he won I got 2nd, 2nd Moto I won he was 2nd. Funny deal, in between 1st and 2nd Moto he came to my pit area asking who I was and where I was from, then he asked if there was any one fast fom Vegas. I went out and beat him in the 2nd moto at a very rutty race track as it had rained the day before. Sweet Day @ Saddle for a Vegas Boy

Harry always had some trick bikes, but I most recall his off-track antics. First met Harry at Rio Bravo at the NMA final. He was doing head-bails into the hotel pool from the top of the second floor......missing the edge by inches every time. He was in the group that terrorized the hotel at that race----uh, or so I hear. Wink What's he up too?

Do you remember anyone from the Houston area racing any of the scaled down Mini-Elsinores? I'm always on the lookout for some more of those, currently restoring a few of the Jeff Ward Racing Products minis (C&J frames) right now with the help of Scott at the Vintage Factory. One will be a show bike with the fully kitted FMF boost ported 100cc cylinder and porky head, the other will be back on the racetrack after thirty years of being tucked away. It's gonna be sweet!
Shaun Kelly is a personal trainer(?) in the Houston area last I heard. He used to kick Ward and Myerscough's asses at Rio in the mini classes. Myerscough came back to Rio in 2004 for our Vintage Pro-Am. He did a little ass kicking that day with a couple really good rides. That's who I idolized as a kid.

Does anybody remember Steve Wise?

Yes bullet Ben was a class act, his family had some money, and he was just good.

The Palmer you talk of was Jamie Palmer and yup, he was quick and a nice guy. The other guy you talk of, Cliff keveryga, rode the intermediate class at washougal huh ? Well Clifford was cherry pickin' out of the pro class down at washougal just so you know. Nice enough guy, but his pro days ended quickly.

Well, well, look who surfaced! Good to hear from you, Dan. Last time we spoke we were around 15-16 years old-------sitting in your old man's summer place on 46th Street in Newport. You were going back to Florida to see your Mom for a couple of weeks----somewhere near Panama City, if memory serves correct. You never returned....... Fill us in. Whaddup? Hope your Dad is doing well---he was always a hoot.

OMG, BKJ joins the fracas! Now all of the "ususal suspects" are gathered. No hotel pool furniture or pinball machines are safe! All we need is Chris Parker showing up to tell us how wicked fast he and his Vulcan XR's were back in the day. Wink

This Steve Wise? Honored at the Freestone Texas national this year as part of the Legends and Heroes deal. He took a lap around the track on my Mugen kitted Wise replica CR125. Pretty cool. He lives near San Antonio now. He used to go fast on an early 100cc Penton.

I've posted this elsewhere here before, just not in this topic. One of my JWRP Mini Elsinores restored for my kid to ride. He was almost too big by the time I got around to getting it done but still fits on it without looking too goofy. This bike is too fast or I'm just too big. Scary little thing, I applaud any of you who ever went fast on these little mutants way back when. Especially those of you with the .080 over 134cc cheater cylinders!

Dammit Newman, I wish we were neighbors! I'd be way more motivated. Sadly, it is sitting in bare frame (with old DG yellow paint peeking through the chipped red paint). I thought I had emailed you some pix of the 'pieces.' I know, I know, get busy already..... BKJ13 won the World Mini on it, and he has offered to assist in a resto. I hope that means he is contributing dough and not just moral support! Hehehe.

You looking for a sleeve kit to do yourself or a cylinder that's already been sleeved? Stock style 100cc setup or a reed valved, boost ported 100cc cylinder? I have a couple spare NOS FMF 100cc boost ported cylinders with porky and radial heads but I'm keeping them for myself(mostly because I'm too embarrassed to tell how much I spent on some of them!). I just sold off a couple sleeved cylinders and a couple NOS sleeve kits over the last year or so. I can probably help you find something, just let me know.

I have a motor ready to be put together with a new Crank bearings & fresh sleeved 125 cylinder. I wish now I had sleeved it with the 100cc sleeve. We have a new 100 class that I would like to build a bike to run in. I dont need a reed cylinder, but i would like to find a cylinder ready to bolt on to my fresh bottom end and jet to Mikuni carb.
