KX250F Starting Problems

OK, so my KX250F hates been started when its cold. I kick it with the choke on and with out but never will start. If I try to bump it, it fires up straight away. When I've has that running for a bit, I can kick it first kick. Why can't I start it when its cold. Thanks for any help
