The mountain goats were almost completely unphased by people, a large group of them walked right past me on the trail, I had a hard time not grabbing that baby and claiming it as my own, it ran right up to my face and stared at me for a good 10 seconds. Then after they had all walked past, I walked up to a cliff's edge and started snapping pictures, when I got this funny feeling that I was being watched... I turn around to see this guy.

Then he starts walking towards me... and my back is to a small (but still potentially deadly) dropoff. Just to make sure he didn't feel like playing king of the mountain and ram me off the edge, I quickly moved towards a wall, and he walked right on past me, and continued along the edge. Crazy how those things can walk on the sides of cliffs too, awesome to see.

Oh, and the hitchhikers up there are much more friendly than others I have encountered, even if they barely speak english. They even went on a hike with me, and we got stuck in a downpour on the way back!

Just a little Sony point and shoot, a nice point and shoot, but no dslr. Gotta have something not bulky when hiking! I don't really know anything about photography, I think I've got a decent eye for a good picture, but that's it.

Left Illinois Friday, arrived in Glacier Sunday morning, drove to Banff Wednesday, then left for home Friday afternoon. Whole trip cost less than $1500, spent $527 on gas. Drove my little gas saver work car, 30-35 mpgCool

It's a baby!
This is one of my favorites. It's my "Lion King" photo, I imagine the big goat is saying, "Someday son, this will all be yours."

They were! Under heavy construction and down to the dirt with a fresh rain, I was getting a little squirrely in the protege... And I'm not making a general statement on Cornland... Its a real town, of about 100 people, I shit you not.
