I'm doing a job for a guy here in West Virginia. He's an older guy, living by himself. Tie dye T-shirt, ex hippie.
House way out in the boonies. Almost a hermit kind of bloke.
I'm talking to him this morning, about a pic of a real nice Harley on the wall, that he used to have.
His last bike.

Somehow, dirt bikes come up. He used to ride them, CZ, KTM, Penton, monoshocks, a 500 CR.
Mentions going to these big motocross races in NY back in the day.

I've found, when older guys, my generation, mention going to a big motocross race in NY, they're talking about Unadilla.

When I ask him if he has any pics, he says yeah, somewhere, I'll see if I can find them.

As we were picking up our tools at quitting time, he hands me, I dunno, a stack of pics maybe 4 inches thick.
Has to be 400 of them. Most, out of focus, or overexposed, but hey, they are what appear to be at least a National or international event. Late 70s it looks like.

Went thru them, picked what I believe are the best 50. Don't have a scanner, so I took a pic of each on with my phone.
The one I put up was a kinda test, to see how they would look.

Race looks to be well attended. Must be a national?

At least. If you look at the tower, there are a lot of foreign flags. In a few of the other pics you see maybe 4 or 5 Suzuki Factory box vans lined up.

A National, maybe a desNations?

The guy that gave them to me remembers going, and taking the pics, but hey, that's about it.
