He's not too bright. Should have just burnt the local Home Depot and CVS Pharmacy to the ground.

Seriously though, what are they exactly charging him with? Was he walking the streets trying to incite a riot chanting something like

What do we want?
Dead cops!
When do we want it?
Now!

The clip I saw he offered them bananas.

One of charges, civil rights intimidation.

I guess it is because he was carrying a rope.

Bail set at $10,000 and on the national news.

The local news station said it was a noose. Was it just rope?

This kid is a real bozo. That being said, there's no way the district attorney will prosecute this case. It says in the article charges have been submitted to the district attorney for review. I guarantee he puts it off and quietly doesn't file the charges.

The kid should have been charged with disorderly conduct at maximum. Disorderly conduct is an act which serves no legitimate purpose. To charge ethnic intimidation will be impossible to prosecute, unless he was telling the people he was going to hang them with the rope.

I feel sleezy for kind of defending this kid because he's such a dingle berry.

So, BLM can close down highways and disrupt an entire city but one man disrupting a BLM protest gets arrested? Seriously, WTF?

So all of this apparently happened in a "Free Speech" section of the campus. Apparently that section is mislabeled.

Anyone see the irony that they're protesting police, but when someone interrupts their protest, they call the police? Laughing

Also, I agree with void. This was a designated free speech area, and although his intentions were clear and I don't agree with them, as long as he wasn't hurting or threatening anyone, he should be equally entitled to express his views there. If you're gonna designate a free speech area, you're going to have to allow everyone to participate, not just the people that you agree with. In the end though, he is on campus, so it's their house and their rules.

That's the stupidest thing I've seen in a while. To me, it looks like an experiment or a provocateur used to show "racist white people" and kick off another riot.Surely no one is that stupid.

Sure sounds like a "conspiracy theory" doesn't it?

This one looks painfully obvious to me.

You guys need to be more tolerant of all people and beliefs. Except for certain ones, but all of them. But not really. Wait? What?

Check back in a decade and we'll tell you which of the groups to accept and which ones not to, of course, keep in mind, we are talking about tolerance for all.

Aw, my mistake. Bad choice for the kid. Will the parents money be returned to them for the tuition costs? Bad deal all the way around.
