With his power and athleticism, if he continues to train he'll be fun to watch.

He looked pretty anxious and just went for it. But if he takes it serious, he'll make a promotion tons of money marketing him.

His legs kicks and speed looked weak, but you can't really dispute the power in his arms. Give him a year or two of training and he could be a huge draw.

it would be pretty intimidating to line up against a guy like that.

And while his technique was crude at best, he can deliver power with those kicks and punches. Ridiculous power.

How much does he weigh?

looked weak??

apparently he broke his training partner's legs with one of those 'weak' kicks.... and that's what the guy was running away from, those kicks

i think he'll struggle should anyone ever be able to get him down, but as long as he's able to keep the fight standing, he should do alright

weak as in his technique, not the strength. Don't get me wrong, obviously the guy is an animal. He couldn't get away with leaving his leg out there that long against anyone in the upper ranks. Just as you said, right now he would struggle on the ground and a top guy would certainly take advantage of that weakness. I'm looking forward to seeing him progress.

265 is the max in UFC right now until they get a Super Heavyweight class, but they should have a super heavyweight class by the time he is ready. I'm already craving seeing the guy fight a lot more!

sorry....yea, technique is definitely weak

from what i'm reading though, he seems to be taking things slowly and isn't after the US/Japan fights... he wants to develop and when he thinks he can go there and win, he will

trouble is, how many 'not so good' fighters are going to want to face him?.... either way, it'll be interesting to see how he progresses

Mariusz has boxing and martial arts training, and will continue to get better as time goes on.

He walks around at 300, but he will have to stop using gear to fight in the UFC so that would take care of some of the weight loss he would need to hit 265. I would bet he was pretty close to 300 in that fight.

You're gonna see a bulked up Mir tonight at 265 lbs.

He fights Cheick Kongo.....anyone think he's gonna win?

Kongo needs to stay off the ground, and he should TKO Mir.

i kinda hope kongo beats mir's ass...... but at the same time, would REALLY like to see a lesnar/mir 3.... so it's either gonna be one or the other

i'll take Mir, BJ, Fitch and Kenny in the top 4 matchups

If that guy ever learns how to fight, he is going to kill someone.

Apparently in training he broke a training partners leg.

He's got a ways to go, but like you said...he could kill someone.

The guy he fought has no prior experience. Pudzian would be severely beat up by anyone in the UFC, his technique was awful, to fight in the UFC he´d have to get off the roids too.

Weather the storm and find an appendage to pull on, showed it beautifully with Kongo and Lesnar 1. He'll beat Nog easily too.

i didn't wanna point that out myself.... but Blush

i think people get too quickly built up, and waaaaay too quickly destroyed after winning/losing fights..... trouble is, everyone is on such a tight timeline, in terms of fitness and fight schedules, that recovering from a loss can take 3 fights which could be 18 months

trouble is, if Pudzianowski keeps beating these so-so people... he's gonna be dumped into a much tougher fight waaaaay before he's truly ready for it

Bob Sapp won his first (few) fight(s) in a similar way: Sloppy technique and anvil-like hammer fists. Once his opponents figured out he had no defense, just killer offense, they exploited that and shut him down. Pudzianowski's going to find that out the first time he fights a half-way legit fighter.

Mir looked really good Saturday, but I don't see Mir/Lesner 3 happening any time soon. I think we'll more than likely see Cain/Big Nog and Mir/Carwin, with the winners going for an interim belt. I just don't see Lesner being ready to go before late next year/early 2011.

Pretty easy for Mir to call out Brock when Brock might not fight again.

Mir's come back from the broken leg sucked ass but he was determined to turn it around. And like mentioned before it can take awhile and did, but he's on his game and confident. Anything can happen with heavyweights and a lucky punch, but Mir is technically superior to Carwin or Cain but Cain is still a baby and shows a ton of promise.
