My Uverse bill just jumped to $190 including internet and three TV's with the U300 or 350 package. When I started a year or two ago it was around $100 and it's just progressively jumped up. I'm going to call today and negotiate my price since I don't have a contract but wasn't sure what I should be willing to settle for. Anyone have good pointers?

I pay $152.00 a month for regular HD cable (just the main cable stations) internet and a land line phone. They bumped me up to $184.00 but I was able to get them to discount it for the time being.

Had COX phone, cable, internet for years. Switched over to Direct TV and dropped the land line and internet. With cell phones who needs a land line, spend all day on the computer at work, no desire to jump back on at home. Added a couple premium channels and paying well under what we had with the COX bundle. Gotta admit, having a land line my whole life and then not was kinda odd. Only pointer I could give would be to decide what you really need and cut the rest.

I had to let my satellite go when the economy turned to crap.

I bought a great digital antenna and a digital converter box that has a built in DVR.

Only get about 12 stations but that is enough that I have plenty to watch.

When I am on the road working and stay in motels I can watch stuff like "Duck Dynasty" and the pawn shows.

I really don't see what the hype is all about. It all looks the same with slightly different players.

I miss actual history stuff on the History Channel.

"Reality" TV is pretty much mindless dribble that I do not miss.

Cox for home phone, internet, and most every channel (no NFL packages, but all the movie and moto related sports channels). $198 a month. Also full multi DVR package (cannot live without the DVR).

Sometimes I feel that I am getting screwed, and could do better without some channels or the home phone. But Cox is pretty smart, they price shit so that if you give up a few perks it really does not drop the price much (or any).

If I dropped the home phone, I think they said it was a $5 a month savings. Keep HBO and Showtime, drop the other shit movie channels, not possible. Cox has the package program nailed, take it all or leave it all.

Around $250 a month. That's digital TV with a couple of movie channels, phone line, and high speed internet. Comcast is our provider.

How far away is the closest wired point for an Internet feed? The WAN side not you LAN side.

Then it would have to be cellular (satellite is metered) and I would go with whatever carrier has the best 4G coverage plus an unlimited data plan. Good luck.

In the past Verizon FIOS could be bundled with DirecTV and they had some great introductory pricing. I was getting 35 Mbps in both directions in Hermosa Beach with Verizon FIOS

29.99 a month (including tax) for 40mbps internet. No contract either. Charter is the best service I've ever had.
