Looks like a great day Void. I've been in Manhattan now for 3 weeks working. If you're in the area, would love to buy you a beer, or any type of liquid or solid for that matter. Working in Soho and have an Apt. in Greenwich Village. Open invite, could be here until the 24th of Oct. Pretty bored when I'm not working.
Take care, and it's been really cool to see how strong you've been under the circumstances.

Thank you sir. I'm actually in the St Louis area, which is also where the drag races were. Sorry for the goofy location in my profile!

Void, you were in Cape Coral at one point not long ago weren't you? I could be mistaken. To bad we didn't meet up if so. I could of used some moto friends to ride and fish with. None of those combos here. Lol Miss going to the drags when I was younger. People who have never seen or felt top fuel have no idea.

It will be strange not to see Castrol or Ford on John Forces car next year, does anyone know who his new sponsors will be ?

Yes, we stayed a week on Captiva. We also went out on Captain Paul's boat while we were there. Smile

Friend worked a couple of year ago on Clay Millican's Top Fuel car so we went to visit him at Joliet. Fun watching them tear down between each round. Lot of stuff going on in a little time. Been to enough NHRA Nationals to know what to expect but the little lady hadn't been to one yet. So imagine her surprise when I positioned her just in the right spot during warm-up. She had tears for like a half hour! ! ! Good fun.

I love that shit man! going to my first DR at Bandimere the sound waves were pushing me back in my seat, I thought "Holy Friggen shit!"
The engineering that goes on behind the scenes is NASA type shit to say the least.

I took my GF to the 4-wide at Charlotte in April. We stood directly across from the tree, so she couldn't see the lights. I knew what was about to happen...but she had no idea. When 40,000hp took off at once, she thought a bomb had been dropped and was looking for cover. Great memory seeing the look on her face...

My favorite part has to be when they fire up the engines in the pits. I love watching the crowd gather around the car, then seeing the wave of scare go through the crowd when they blip the throttle. Just after they shut the car off, everyone turns around, eyes watering from the alcohol, with big smiles on their faces. That's the cool stuff that TV can't capture.

That's awesome Void! NHRA is the only other motorsport I can get down with.
