Shit happens. It'll get cleaned up and the program will move on.

Rough week for space flight. I hope todays tragedy and Tuesdays deliberate launch explosion won't affect the development schedules for the other private companies. There's always going to be risks, successes, losses, and failures when pushing new boundaries.

The Virgin crash hits home a bit more. The Antares had those Russian engines, which is fine, but it was also a corporate move to maximize profits. That is one issue with a privatized space industry.

The Virgin crash did claim the co-pilot from what I'm reading, which sucks ass. Safety is going to always be an issue in space travel because space is, well, fucking deadly. Not only do you have large, controlled (hopefully,) explosions propelling you, they are propelling you to a place that can kill you very quickly.

I just hope that investors can understand a long term vision, as in possibly beyond their lifetime. It is rocket science. It is high risk for both travelers and investors, although in different ways.

As horrible as it is to lose life, it is a worthy program. They better not let one incident bring the whole thing down.

RIP to the dead. The human race owes you for your bravery.

I hope Branson doesn't get cold feet because of this. I really want to see commercial space flight someday, even if I won't be able to afford it.
