Wasn't even a contest, looking forward to McGregor kicking Aldo's ass. Fuckin McGregor was impressive, completely out classed Siver and that caught me off guard. The out of the ring shit was unnecessary though

The event you are talking about has been, this is on Saturday 24th Jan, it is the biggest UFC event in Europe ever. It is going to take place in a soccer arena, 30 thousand fans.

That is going to be an amazing event to attend. I'm super jealous of you.

I had the pleasure of attending a UFC fight a few years ago and it was one of the coolest things I've gotten to do. Even the light leg kicks that look like nothing make you cringe.

You'll leave with a new respect for those guys.

Let us know how it goes.

They flew Aldo from Brazil to Boston and McGregor grabbed one of those large men before he tried to get to Aldo and did the hold me back wrestling technique.

It will help sell tickets and PPV's.

Aldo is going to be a different level for The Irishman.

The Gustafson vs Johnson fight should be good, winner gets a title shot with Jon Jones.

I wanted Cowboy to win but I think Benson got robbed last night, close fight though.
McGregor is a great talent, it's good to see fighters that use distance (aka karate style) so well and still land most of their strikes with timing and accuracy in the ufc. Not many fighters like that in mma.

yeah, i get it's just selling tickets. i just hate to see that garbage, really pulling for McGregor besides that little side-show of jumping into the crowd.

like you said, Aldo is going to be tough, i'm really looking forward to that fight. everyone thought Siver was going to be a good matchup, myself included... but McGregor completely outshone him, beat his fucking ass.

You can actually watch it live for yourself, it is on american time so that US viewers can watch it on TV. The main event will be on about 3.30 am here, YAAAWN Smile . Insane that they manage to fill up a soccer stadium with 30 000 fans that time of night or should I say morning !?

I went to the first UFC event in Japan when Henderson took the title from Edgar. It's weird seeing the first prelim fight kick off at 9am local time (I had to leave my house at 4:30 to make it to the arena), but once the fights get rolling and the beer starts flowing, you'll forget about being tired. I'm curious how Gus is going to handle a heavy hitter like Rumble, though. It should be interesting. I like both guys, so I'm just hoping for a great fight.

I'm also looking forward to Henderson/Moussasi. I've seen Moussasi fight on a couple of DREAM cards in Japan, and the guy is a beast. He always looks bored, but he whoops ass.

I'll be watching it live. I want to hear about the atmosphere and stuff that goes along with being there. Pretty cool.

I didn't expect the main event to get past the second round, but I expected Gustaffson to win.
A lot of the fights ended early last night.
