I have seen many, many live shows over the last 20 years, but here's my top 3.
3. Pantera. Nummirock, Finland 1998.
The band (Anselmo) was still in great shape. Honored that I got to see Dime play live. Got his pick too.
2. Faith no more. Ruisrock, Finland 2009.
After seeing this, I've considered Mike Patton to be my favourite singer of all time.
1. U2. Helsinki olympic stadium, Finland 2010.
No words, you had to be there. Miles ahead of everyone else.
Honorable mention: Every small club live show, from Swedish band called Freak kitchen, that I've seen.
Your list?

No others matter.....
2) Monsters of Rock - 1984 - Donington Park England
AC/DC
Van Halen
Ozzy Osbourne
Gary Moore
Y&T
Accept
Mötley Crüe
3) Sweaty Teddy and Judas Priest in a high school gymnasium in Germany - 1984
Honorable mentions: Heart/John Cougar - Vegas '81, Cheap Trick, U2, REO, Night Ranger, Chicago, 38 Special, Tiny Tim.
Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival Chicago 2009
Rolling Stones Cleveland Municipal Stadium 1989
Pink Floyd The Wall Tour1980 New York
The Who Quadrophenia Tour 1973 Washington DC
(sorry, I had to go with 4!)
The Shop
Van Halen
Metallica
Scorpions
Two more bands I don't remember
Really what made it epic was the size.
Tie for 3rd. Oasis in Las Vegas on their US last tour as a band, 2009.
2. Iron Maiden World Slavery Tour, 1984 I think, Forest Lake, MN,
Iron Maiden
RATT
Accept
Mama's Boys
1. Maiden England, 2012 Salt Lake City
Iron Maiden
Can't think at the moment who opened, but we got screwed, Alice Cooper wasn't on the west coast swing.
As you can guess, I am a huge Iron Maiden fan. After they were selling out massive arenas around the world, I saw them in Germany in 1996 play at a small 2,000 capacity crowd. This was after Bruce left for a while. That was pretty epic.
Rush, AC/DC, Kiss, The Plasmatics, Nazareth, Bob Welch, Frampton, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, REO Speedwagon, Richie Blackmore and Rainbow, Golden Earring, James, The Cars, Van Halen on their first world tour and so many more from the late 70's through early 80's when I was in junior high through high school.
Oh, and The Rolling Stones on their last world tour ever(yeah right) in 1981 with ZZ Top and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
By 1981, Van Halen sucked. Slobbering drunks on stage.
2) Iggy Pop/Joan Jett
3) Rush/Pat Travers
Oddly enough, I actually liked the Billy Idol show I went to quite a bit. The drummer was entertaining and their guitar player Steve Stevens could absolutely shred on the guitar. Didn't care much for Idol himself. And his bass or keyboarder were just there.
Have seen Iron maiden twice and they always put on a great show.
Thought the Van Halen show in the 80's was the best I would see until i seen
The Police at Red Rocks, they killed it.
2. Kiss in Sturgis just a few years ago.
3. Train and Lifehouse on a beach in Mexico (I know kinda weird but it was a private party for a radio station out of Chicago and we just happened to be there on vacation as well.) Only people that got invited were at the small hotel.
Kiss/ Cheap Trick 1976
2nd show was also awesome:
Van Halen/ Cheap Trick 1977 (Cheap Trick opened for EVERYONE in the late '70s- they were and are great live)
Ive seen a ton of shows since: Aerosmith, AC/DC, Springsteen, The Police, U2, G 'n R, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Bon Jovi (not a fan, but most hot chicks I've ever seen in one place), Queensryche, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, STP, Metallica.............many, many more.
3rd favorite was Frampton last year. I liked him a lot when I was a kid. I spent many hours playing air guitar to his songs when I was in Jr. High. I never had a chance to see him until he came to a small venue here in town last year and he was great! The venue he played has had some good artists, but the space causes sound issues for most. I have a couple buddies that work there and they said Frampton worked really hard to get the sound right. His sound check took [b]4 HOURS! ]
Millencolin
Foo Fighters
Anytime I Strung Out is always a good time as well
Stevie Ray Vaughn Chicagofest 1983
Triumph at Alpine Valley . Not sure of year....late 80s early 90s.
Pit Row
Styx, 1983 on the Kilroy tour.
#3 is hard to call. I've seen lots of good shows over the years. Seal, PIL, Pink Floyd, Primus, The Who.... I think I'll give the spot to The Brian Setzer Orchestra, though. They were UN-EFFING-REAL live.
Blind Melon opens for Pearl Jam who opens for Neil Young, amazing show and what you can't see during PJ's set is mayhem in the crowd, what little security there was could not stop the waves of people, leaving there assigned areas and flowing to the stage,,
sorry but the 90's ruled..
Ozzy Osbourne/Motley Crüe - Bark at the moon/ Shout at the devil tour
Joe Bonamassa - 2001 Montreal Jazz Festival
Rush - Moving Pictures
Motley Crüe - Shout at the Devil
2) Clapton (x2) in '00/'01 at Yokohama Arena in Japan.
3) Tie between War and Switchfoot at the Navy base I work at. I've shot photos at several dozen concerts over the last 13 years, but these two were the only ones where I paid more attention to the show than I did the photos.
Pennywise/offspring/bad religion at the hardrock in Vegas last year was just awesome,
AC/DC at Western Springs Auckland I think about 2008
Eminem at Western Springs Auckland 2013
