I've got a late flight out of Detroit. Does anyone have suggestions on things to do there?

Windsor was always fun. if your into casino's and strip bars. I know they are expecting more snow so that may hinder your options

I can assist you with that Steve. If you come south on I-75 or head out of downtown that way, and get headed towards the Ambassador Bridge off of Fort Street, proceed south parallel to the river. Approximately 3 lights from the bridge, you could enjoy the "company" of a one-eyed toothless crack whore, or at least that's what she called it, when I stopped to fix my trailer at 7am. Apparently customer service IS a priority for her, working those kind of hours. Early bird gets the worm, you know.
Further south on Fort, just past the I-75 overpass and through 2 lights is a little restaurant called Little Johnny's Ham King Palace. If you want THEE best ham, salt and cheese omelette you'll ever eat, that's the place. Note of caution: if you're down there after dark do NOT stop at those lights. Under any circumstance. Also, do NOT venture into MexicanTown north of Fort St a few blocks, unless you're "affairs are in order". With the winter being so miserable this year, don't bother going to the river. The ice flows will be so thick, you'll be unable to view the bodies as they gently cascade downstream. In the middle of summer with the sun beating down on the water, it really is a breath taking view.

To throw an international flavour into your trip, cross the Ambassador into Windsor and hit the strip bar 3 lights straight south of the bridge. The timing is bad, because Thursday is Lesbian Night, so I suspect you won't be around, but trust me, re-booking your flight would be something to investigate. Also, I saw a guy gettin a hummer in the parking lot at 4 in the afternoon, the place certainly has an unforgettable ambience. No I didn't circle the block to get a second look, but trust me, if I wasn't 85 feet long with 2 trailers behind me and driving through a residential zone, I would have.
Your travel agent, ol' scooter.

Back in 05, a homeless man escorted myself and some friends to a place called Bazooki's. The varsity squad was on stage that night. I could easily burn a few hours there again.

You spoon fed, CNN watching MOFO's need to get out more. Sure Detroit can be rough but look at the Iowa, Ohio,Nebraska...ect. farming towns. More one eyed, one armed, one legged MOFO's dragging around then in Detroit. Pick and choose your weapon ya friggin Mama boys

Ice fishing on Lake Erie has been outstanding, walleyes over 10lbs are common.

Depends what are you into Guy. I would suggest going to the Henry Ford Museum. Excellent place with ALOT of interesting history and near your airport. Also the Dearborn Assembly plant tour of the F150 plant in Dearborn is cool as well. There is a Red Wings game on Sunday also. Or you can go across the border and make fun of canadians like Scooter5002 (J/K).

Roads are terrible FYI. Bad winter along with alot of heavy freeze has destroyed alot.

I agree dude. I was more worried around most places in rural Alabama/ Mississippi then I have ever felt in Detroit. Oh yeah and the biggest shit stain of the country, Arkansas. God damn that place is terrible.

Maybe a Piston's game? There is a casino there as well. Not sure what that has too offer. I believe that there are a couple of good restaurants in the GM building that are very good. They also have all of their cars on display on the lower floors. Just something to do.

There was a funny HardcorePawn episode where a lady brings her friend in and points at a Loan sign that says bring a friend in and get $$. Which is for a loan obviously but this lady thought if you just bring a friend in you get cash. She was about to tear the place up. "You gonna give me my MF'n money, I brought a friend in!!" They are like how much you want? Holly sheet people are stupid and entitled.

Head Downtown and check out the parade, make sure to take the cam. Green beer gets flowing and watch out. Even the local TV personalities got in a dust up last year.

Should have drove to Cleveland and flew out from there. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a bucket list type deal, one you will never regret. and the Science/Physics museum next door is cool as hell. Next year plan on flying into Motor city then rent a car/driving to Cleveland.

Try and set aside a whole day for the Rock and Roll HoF, When I went about 16 years me and the wife spent 8 hrs there and had to rush through the last floor ( 5 floors). I was amazed on how the day flew by and I'm not that into music. The behind the stories of all those bands keeps you glued to the atmosphere. I'm sure it's not there anymore but the AC/DC drum set had me memorized with the story of the band. You could tell they played the hell out of that thing, it was thrashed.
