Anybody seen it?
I tried to DL it with bit torrent searchs, but every single 1 I got was a virus-laden fake.
some wanted me to install video codecs before it was viewable, google was warning me about unsafe websites known to be infected, avast was blowing me up....

I finally gave up.

The Screw Ball claims he wants to drop a Nuke on us. We laugh and wish him well. Sony makes a comedy about Kimi Ding Jong-un Dung and he see no who mer in it. That little rascal is one funny chubby Korean.

Making an assassination movie about a sitting foreign leader is a really stupid idea. If the movie is any good at all they could have made the leader and the country fictitious. Like 90% of the movies made though, it's probably not worth expending much effort to see. My guess is that Sony USA is much more worried about what the hackers have than any kind of violent threats.

Short and to the point.....Sony should of never backed down to a threat of a terrorist attack.

It goes against what we stand for in the first place. I say fuck those people.

One thing the N. Korea people are forgetting about is.....this aint the first slam movie like this. Ever see " Team America-world police" ?

That movie not only made the Korean people look dumb ( along with every other nationality ) but it was a HUGE dig on Americans as well. It made us look like complete arrogant , over-powering assholes.......which was why it was so funny.

When we start putting limits on peoples creations.......it's all over. Freedom of expression is important and nobody should tell you to " Stop or else ".

If N. Korea doesn't like it......don't watch it!

Obama telling people to see the movie, thats just fucking dumb
as if people should be worried that North Korea are the ones trying to censoring you, what a joke

I can see the theaters side in not wanting to run this movie. This movie probably would have sucked anyway and been hard for theaters to break even . Running it would risk keeping customers away from attending the other numerous movies on the busiest movie week of the year. I bet they release it later.

What I want to know is where was the out rage when south park pulled the plug on the muslim episode?
So it's OK to cater to Islam but not anyone else? Now because it's N Korea people are upset?
Didn't Obama even go so far as to say there was an offensive video that caused the riots which led to
the attack on Bengazi, and had the director thrown in jail? where is the consistency?

The censorship of art, whether you agree with it or not, is the most dangerous aspect of this whole dumb ass movie debacle.

This really isn't censorship. In fact in this case it is just the opposite. Censorship is when our government tells them they can't show the movie because of its content. In this case, our government is telling them that they "should" have shown the movie. The movie theaters themselves along with Sony decided not to show the movie at the theaters. That's totally their choice based on business decisions. They'll probably release it in some form (or leak it) eventually, and more people will probably end up watching it just because of all the hoopla.

I'm thinking more about the movies that have not been made yet, and won't be made because people are afraid of something like this. You can't allow people to be afraid to create art.

I 100% totally agree with that, BUT it isn't censorship (at least not my understanding of the meaning). Smile

Can you explain this to me like I'm 5?

My understanding is that net neutrality limits internet providers to controlling speeds to the consumer. They're not allowed to designate speeds to large businesses. So for example, if I went to a small site like HJacks Plumbing, it could take as long as dialup to access it. But if I went to a large company like Hulu or Youtube who pay for faster streaming to the consumer, on the same computer, it would stream seamless.

Very simply stated that is what the deal is but there is also the financial end of it.

If you're an investor that trades stocks online you may not have the same access to information that larger corporations with more $$$ will.
They will get the news of trades and changes in the market just a little quicker and that is a huge advantage.

That guy is such a shit face. . . I can't figure out why we don't send a seal team in to take care of him and leave. There is no way they'd ever find us there.
