Well gentleman, wish us the best today. My boy has been a thorn in my side the past month and a 1/2. I guess he is coming early at 34 weeks. As I sit here a little worried, I am thinking about about my wisdom to Spydee with his upcoming kid... roll with the punches. Appreciate the thoughts!

My only advice: Create a schedule (eat, sleep, nap, eat, bottle, sleep, etc) and stick to it 100% for the next 2-3 years (of course adjusted according to their age). This advice comes from having 2 yr old twins and a 14 yr old.

And congrats!

Best of luck, remember to keep your fingernails short, cleaning baby shit out of them is a hassle.

Congratulations! My boy was born 6 weeks early too. He & his mom were victims of the HELP syndrome, but they both made it through. He's a strong, healthy 7 year old now.

Heck of a feeling. I remember a very similar photo when she was only 2 hours old. Now she's 15! Congrats!

My oldest was also six weeks early (16 years ago). He was about 4.5lbs, and spent the first 18 days of his life in NICU so they could monitor his immune system (he came out screaming, so lung development wasn't an issue). By the time he was two months old, he was right at the target weight for a full term two month old. Babies are surprisingly tough little bastards.

ETA: Congratulations, by the way! There's no better feeling n the world than being a dad.

Congratulations on your new baby boy! As others have posted, being a dad is the greatest. Hope Mom and baby are doing OK. Take it all in, time flies by quickly. Hard to believe my daughter is 31 with two kids and my son is now 19 and in college.
