Seen "Dark Knight Rises"? Wasn't impressed

I was bored shitless through most of it. Anytime a movie has a timer in it, and I am hoping and praying the timer goes quicker so it ends, I know I'm bored.

i left after they forced the guys on the ice. Movie sucked and happy hour started..

I hardly ever go to theatres anymore. Went to see Prometheus: good effects but the plot was written by a college student. They are so desperate to grab attention they just blast you non-stop. Story? What's that?? I imagine all the writing talent has been taken up by video game developers.

I still love my summer blockbusters, though this year maybe two out of more than a half dozen movies I saw lived up to expectations. But we have a nice theater nearby, with the whole IMAX 3-D thing, and watching a great movie on TV, even though I have an 80 incher cause I luvs me some tv, nothing compares to the REAL big screen. I'll tolerate several mediocre movies for the one or two big hits. And the funny thing is, I almost enjoy the movie more when I watch it the second time on DVD. Don't know if I'm just getting old, but at the theater I can't understand half of what they are saying in most movies. I watch everything with subtitles at home. Can't wait for the new 007 movie in IMAX.
Haven't seen the new Batman or Spiderman, but I'm not a fan Bale's Batman movies. I expect to enjoy the Spiderman reboot though.

Theatres are really bad now that everybody has home theatre. Basically the seats are full of 14 to 17 year olds who are too old to stay with mom and too young to go out by themselves. Talking and texting for two straight hours. Now when I was a kid we would sneak a bottle of gin into the theatre and that was our fun.

We will not go to public theaters anymore. Too many loud, obnoxious people & kids, texting with blinding bright screens in the dark theater, dinking with thier phone, being loud, putting their feet on the seat back (disgusting if you consider what the floor of the mens room looks like), etc.

If if doesnt come on DirectTV , I wont ever see it.

I didn't like any of the Spiderman movies so I doubt I'll like this one.

I didn't mention that I waited until it came to Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse so I could drink pitchers and eat burgers. I don't do movie theaters anymore for the same reason.
Kids, cell phones, idiots. Over the theaters.

I thought it was awesome. It wasn't as good as The Dark Knight, but It was going to be hard to top that one. I would recommend it to anyone.

DO NOT buy Prometheus it was horrible!!!
