I am a drummer. Well I used to be 20 years ago. After it became clear I would not do it for a living I quit. Recently I wondered what would happen if you took a guy with no obvious talent for other instruments or song writing sat down without learning anything and just gave it a go. So I bought an Afinity Squire at the swap meet $60, bass at a pawn shop $93, EZ Drummer, Reaper and Guitar Rig 4. Well here are the results. Feel free to flame as I am not under the delusion that it is good but it was fun. It has no significance so I named it Scandinavian Shoe Leather. https://soundcloud.com/russ-e-gregory/scandinavian-shoe-leather

Not too bad for a first attempt.

You might have a future in documentary background music! Wink

BTW:

Last time I did a thorough garage cleaning, I found a couple more pieces of hardware for that POS electronic kit I gave you a hundred years ago.

I figured you'd probably passed it on, or tossed it by then, so I chucked the shit.

My son is selling his Pacific kit for cheap, if you're interested.

"Documentary background music". I like it. Seems much more fun than fire sprinkler contractor..

When I was doing this I thought "Wouldn't it be nice if Steve Vai's car broke down in front of my house". I could fix his car and he could a much better version of this.
