Residential roofing part 2

10/18/2012 6:11 PM

Well after taking your guys advice I re-roofed my house. It took a little over 3 weeks and was alot of work, but it looks way better now.

Here's a link to a vid I made of the whole project. It's a long one but worth watching if you want to do the same job.

That's CHinglin'.....Just sayin'.

Go for it! Don't let a little thing like fear, or common sense hold you back.

Well done! Looks good. Did you strip it all the way down?

I tore up all the old shingles, and replaced about 70 percent of the plywood.

Looks great. Job well done.

Honestly, hat's off for you taking this into your own hands and making it work.

Did you pull permits and pass all thier inspections? It looks good. That's my favorite color and what I did my house in.

Not every municipality requires a permit for a roof replacement.

Looks good. My riding buddy for years owns his own roofing company and I have done a few tear off, fix rot and reroof's and it is hot and heavy work. He will rip a roof all day and then ride the rest of day/night. He is an animal. I need a nap after one or the other.

Nice job!

It looks good! I am shocked at the small overlap you have on the nails! I'm assuming the instructions told you to nail it that way.

Holy Schnitzengruben!!!
