Looking to buy a side by side and wasnt really interested in the honda until i read some articles on them. Anybody have any experience with the honda compared to the polaris? I'll mostly be using it for light trail riding when deer hunting and yard work.
The msrp on the 700 is about $3k cheaper than the polaris also. I guess at this point i could consider the 570 full size as the 700 only has 1 more hp than the 570. I think quality is my main factor though.

No Honda experience but FWIW our Polaris has worked great for years without any issues at all.

If i would have to choose, i would make a quick checklist,
Honda gets the letter X
Polaris gets the letter V

what look do you prefer
who's the dominant performer of the 2
which one has the biggest load capacity
which one has the biggest ground clearance
how long is the factory warranty
what shop is closest to you
which one has the best price

answer all these first and then question yourself this.
Is Spending 3K more for model V worth it to me or do you think that model X would do the exact same stuff model V does but for 3K less

Ranger or RZR?
I'm assuming Ranger since he's comparing it to the more utility oriented Pioneer.

I would also suggest looking at the Yamaha Viking, too. The Yamaha Wolverine is nice, but doesn't have a dump bed which is handy for yard work. The Viking, however, does have a dump bed.

Polaris created this market and still owns it as far as I am concerned. I've had a 450 rancher since I don't know when??? maybe 2007. It has not given a minutes of trouble. Even being rode daily for how ever many years, it doesn't feel ragged at all.

Honda for the win. I don't have one but have a couple friends that do. you will own it forever with little to no trouble. I have four friends that have Polaris Rangers, all of them have had their machine in the shop at one time or another and no this isn't a group of guys that try to go thru the deepest mud hole they can find. we all trail ride on everything from easy to moderate trails and use them around the farm or hunting.

I have the Yamaha Viking, it's a little under powered compared to the 900 but only on the top end, it tops out around 52. the advantages to the Viking are it fits three adults easily and it's wider and has a bigger bed. it has more leg room and sits much more comfortably to me. be sure to test drive them all. if I was going to buy a new one I'd look at the Yamaha again but I'd probably end up with the 1000 Pioneer.

do not buy the 570, you will regret it. it's a slow turd. I know you're going to say your not worried about power but after you get one and get used to driving it and using it all the time at some point power is going to come into play. I never thought I'd want more power out of mine but I do now. we will have had it for 3 years in April and we've put 4800 mile on it already. but then again one of my favorite hunting spots is a 14 mile one way trip.

My Ranger was nothing but trouble while maintained correctly. The Yamaha Rhino I had much better luck with even.

Not a trail machine but if you can pick up a diesel JD Gator then you will be set with a little workhorse for years to come. My came from Knoxville from an older man who had little land(was like new) and have only put air in the tires and fuel in the tank here 5 - 6 years later. It also hauls 4 300 gallon water tanks full thru some creeks and rolling hills a few times a week. Mine is a 6 wheeler so with some weights added up front, it even now turns well. This is an older machine and not the role cage type side by sides like a ranger.
