Big discounts on the Galaxy S6 Edge. Who gives a shot? No one know, I know. But it's funny how important a cell phone is to people. The guy at T-mobile said "iPhone 5, how's that working out for ya"? I said " I can make phone calls and look at porn so it's pretty good". That was about it for the small talk.

I dunno.
After years of flip phones I got an iPhone. mainly because it was a good deal with an iPad2 I got
for work.
The iPhone takes great pics.
But the flip has better reception.
I can get online with the ipad.
But the battery in the flip lasts 4 times longer.
The iPhone seems fragile as hell.
The flip is like a tank.
The iPhone has so much it can do, I find I brush off even attempting to use 2/3 of what's on it.
The flip is so simple

I dunno, somewhere in the middle would be great.

Every droid os phone I get is junk in 6 months. These stupid iPhones last me for a few years. I'll keep this 6 for a whoke. Had it close to two years already.

My kids have iphones and I have an Android. The iphones take really nice pictures, but my Android isn't a top end model so I would suspect that's why the camera isn't as good (though it is still pretty good) as the iphone camera. The iphones are well built in my opinion but it's just a phone so I don't care much. People always tell me I never answer my phone and that's because I just leave it in my work van or on my kitchen table. I don't spend all day in front of my phone!

I couldn't justify $100 a month bill for an iPhone. I run an iPad and a flip phone.

I was hoping the Razr flip phone was making a comeback.

I have had just about every version and currently running a 6S and have never cracked a screen (knock on wood) My wife cracks every one she gets her hands on though. I wear bib overalls and stick it in the front pocket at work. I did drop an ipad2 onto concrete while opening a motel door once though and it broke but that was fairly inexpensive to replace the screen locally.

You could probably find one if it holds a special place in your heart.

I got an LG G4 last sept....and I haven't found one thing I dislike about the thing. It's tough as hell too. Can't even count how many times I've dropped it. Got it free with a brand new tablet....which is pretty damn cool too. All that for free...and my bill went down slightly.

Sloan,if you like playing with linux...
You might be able to root your Android and install NetHunter.
NetHunter has lots of fun stuff to play with, gives the phone a whole new purpose lol. Smile
If you are interested here's a how to video in regards to the install.

I have a iPhone 6s which I use everyday for emails, texts back to the US etc. Plus I carry one of those BLU android phones with a Saudi sim card so anyone local (mainly the taxi service) can get a hold of me. That Android thing is absolute shit man, I have no idea how people use it. One of the taxi guys called and asked if I would share my location on whatsapp so he knew exactly where to go, long story short I couldn't get the Android to do it and finally just punched his digits into the US phone and sent it whatsapp that way.

I use email, phone and whatsapp, that's about the extent of my use on the phone. How anyone can read articles on them is beyond me.

have had iphones for 5 years now, a 4, a 5, a 6 and now a 6s, broken one screen in that time on a 6, was pretty simple to get it replaced, but the phone never worked the same afterward, then lost it out drinking and got a new 6s,

i a run a macbook at home and they work well together, hate the new apple music app and just want the old music app back, i dont use it to any where its capacity, (dont get my work emails to my phone, never have and never will)

had an ipad for a while, but did not use it that much, so sold it, dont really need 2 devices, but the ipad as good to travel with,

A couple years ago I decided to try a different phone and went with an LG G something or other. I dropped it about fifty times the first day. It was like carrying a wet bar of soap around... lol
I only had it a couple days before going and getting a new 5s but I hated everything about that LG.the camera was blurry I couldn't navigate my way around etc... Guess that's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Laughing

It's opposite for me.
Got the ipad2 because, well, a few reasons. The phone was kind of an add on for little money.

I'm hoping the iPad sets me free.

It is really the centerpiece of the business model I'm building.
I kinda realized, after meeting and talking with TFS at Budds Creek, and then seeing how GuyB can live on the road
and do it, with today's tech it must be possible, as a contractor, to do it all from the van.

And I'm close.

Getting to the job, piece of cake with Apple maps. Nothing else comes close. (Even tho they got rid of the hybrid
map, which was awesome,)

The customer needs something done, in a place they never go, on a roof, in a crawl space , just shoot a killer pic and show them the problem.

I run an app that flat rates all pricing. It's a national program. Even at the lowest pricing scale the profit margins are really good. When they squirm, I show them the iPad, explain how it works, and for some reason it kinda validates
the cost. It's not some guy just pulling a number out of his head.
If they still hesitate, I tell them I can swipe a card with Square and poof, hell yeah, go ahead and do it.
And that gets me my money right away.
I shoot an invoice saying paid to their email box, they print the recite and we are finished.

With a GPS on this van, and a good guy working out of it there is no reason I can't run this show off a phone.

The only thing I havnt figured out yet is how to print off the pad. Some people, believe it or not, still don't do internet.
For them, I need to print an invoice.
Hard to believe Apple has all this crap and you still can't just plug a printer into it.

I get that figured out, who needs an office?
My suppliers ship to any address I want, who needs a shop?

Yeah, for me, I'm hoping the iPad will eventually set me free.

Why not just use a printer via wifi?

Someone mentioned that to me Hut.
Going to best buy this week to see how that will work.
Only other thing is voltage.
Yeas, I could carry a 110 volt printer in a customers house to do the deed,
But I really would like something that ran off 12 volts and just plugged in to the pad.

Maybe do the wifi thing and get an inverter for the voltage?

Our new pickup has a 120v outlet capable of running a printer, in my 06 I ran a Conra brand 12vdc to 120 vac inverter. They are available at truck stops FYI should work for a printer.

This works perfect for a small printer and just make sure it has its own wifi access point (I believe most HP's do). We used this in the oil biz for years when we never had an office to print anything.

Good luck on the setup.

IMO people make too much of these fuckin phones, they just don't make my dick hard like most other people on the planet. I've been running an iPhone 4 for the last 5yrs, have never broken a screen and never had it do anything except just work. I've yet to even update the OS and am still operating every app that's on it. I've been looking to upgrade though, the speakers are near their end and I can barely hear when talking on it.

Me either, that's why I hung onto the iPhone 5 as long as I did. When I got them, they were the latest and greatest. The phones we have now are last years latest and greatest. I'm sure we'll hang onto them until they are outdated and not cool anymore.

Honestly I liked my 5s better than this 6s. I basically keep them until they are worn out then get the latest greatest, usually a couple years and it's clapped out, I don't work in an office with the gals. Laughing
