I was recently contemplating getting a new truck to replace my 2007 Ford F-150. I bought it new in 07 and hit 100,000 miles last year. It's a 4.6, 2WD, does everything I need it to and hasn't given me any major issues yet. I ended up deciding to keep it and wanted to give it a facelift. I'm shooting for 200,000 miles before I replace it. Who else is doubling down on their current trucks?

Funny story, about six or seven years ago, my older son and I were in it taking one of the thousands of MX trips together. Out of the blue, he turned to me and said, "I wonder what kind of vehicle I will be driving when I turn 16"? I looked at him and said, "Wonder no longer cause you're in it"!!!
BTW, I like the black wheels.
Btw 200,000 is nothing. All 3 ford's in the garage right now are at or above 200,000
The Shop
2009 2500HD 6.0L 100k mi. Zero repairs, perfect.
2004 2500HD 6.0L 165k mi. Front Brake pads. Instrument cluster went out, missed the warranty so I bought $30 of guage motors online and soldered them in.
Runs great, but I have had some issues...
New transfer case.
New upper control arms.
Brakes regularly.
AC does not blow cold, it's the compressor and I can't be bothered to drop two grand to get it fixed but it has a new AC Clutch cause it blew itself apart.
That's it though... considering it was a new. The lifters are a little noisy but hey, I run full synthetic and once it's warmed up the ticking goes away.
Hopefully ole Fido will be headed to Newmann's this spring for an Earl Scheib special.
That is all I know, and I don't know anything about AC so I just trusted what the mechanics said. They said condensor compressor, whatever the f that is lol.
Must be leaking

We just mounted a new hood ornament.
But it's cool the kid is keeping the old truck and fixing it up. In hindsight, I wish I did that with my 2002 Tundra.
