I thought it was very well done. Looking forward to the next two episodes.

It wasn't bad but it was definitely missing some key events and characters. Nascar had a ton of WWII vets I thought it was a shame they didn't touch on Bud Moore landing on D-Day. They also skipped over the inaugural Southern 500 and downplayed bootlegging's role down a few drivers. Most drivers where involved in running liquor and even the ones who weren't claimed to be (Lee Petty) even Wendell Scott ran whiskey. I was bummed they left out Carl Kiekhaefer. He was the original multi car team owner.

I recommend this book for NASCAR history up to 1993

Who's the production guru that started all these recent docu-drama type shows re-using clips over and over, and replaying a couple of minutes of stuff after each break that they played right before the break.

That crap drives me crazy.

Two hours of show that had about 30 minutes of content.

Watching the second part. Man what a pile of crap. I mean it's better than a kick in the teeth. But they should of called it History of how Bill France promoted NASCAR. I agree no content, 10 mins of info drug out for 2hrs.

I was expecting some good footage and some good story telling by some legends. I don't want to hear Brad Keslowski tell me about what happened before he was born. That's like Justin Barca telling you how cool the battles were between Hannah and DeCoster.

Don't mean to be a negative Nancy but man with all the cool stories and people involved with NASCAR over the years, this is dissapointing. Seems like people with no knowledge or passion for the sport put it together.

On a positive note. I just turned the channel to a show called Americarna. Seen it before. Ray Everham finds and restores historic racecars. This one they find an original Dan Gurney Eagle Indy Car. I saw these cars race at the first two California 500 Indy Car races at the original Ontario Speedway when I was 7 and 8 years old.
