I am moving in June to try a new adventure. I moved last February from Utah to North Carolina. I wanted to see what the east had to offer, and now that I've seen it, I'm ready to head back west. North Carolina is cool, but family is in the west. Where would you go if you were in my predicament? I have family in Oregon, Washington, and Utah. Dirt biking and mountain biking are huge on my list of must have's. Grand Junction CO, Bellingham WA, and Boise ID are the top 3 on the list right now. Any insights to these places, or recommendations for other places out west?

*Moving to Corvallis, OR in a couple weeks. Wife got a job that is perfect for her career goals.

Oregon. Somewhere between I-5 & Coos Bay. Best of both worlds.

Been there, done that. I grew up in Nephi and graduated from Utah state, bro. Nice place, but it's not a real consideration. I like the outdoor activities, but agree with everything else.

Sounds like a dream. The only thing holding me back is the lack of sunshine. But it's still at the top of the list.

I actually lived in coos bay when I was young. My parents live out of Roseburg, and said I could put a track on their 20 acres of i moved close.

I'm not much of a hunter, but I do like putting up trail cams and seeing big bulls and bucks, so I'd like to live somewhere with a healthy elk and deer population.

Can ya be here next week? I've got some fencing to do. Trade for camping. Lol the western slope is really nice. Not near as crowded as the front range. All the riding you an do for free too. Both places.

Laughing just being facetious. I have spent plenty of time in all those mentioned and would go back to any one of them.

Grinning It actually seemed like Texas had a huge influx of people in the last decade or so. I've only been to Dallas, but I never saw the appeal. The surrounding landscape isn't much to look at.

I always enjoy reading about other areas that people live , I've never moved away and don't plan on it . I literally bought a house a mile from where I grew up . I think it's cool when people can just say fuck it ,I'm moving to the other side of the country.

Tires go on the roof! Spray paint some rocks red white and blue and spell USA out front with them.

Tire's on the roof are to keep It quiet when windy. I don't have any tire's just straps and my roof is so noisy. I refuse to go with the tire look though.

Bend is awesome. Wenatchee pretends to be "Bend Lite", for the most part. They have some interesting similarities.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I just got done backpacking through Oregon. My wife and I applied in many different cities, and it came down to Wenatchee, Klamath Falls, and Corvallis. Didn't get an offer from Bellingham. We decided on Corvallis, OR for my wife's job. I've been staying at my parent's house in Myrtle Creek, OR for a couple weeks, and We'll be in Corvallis in a week or two. Looking forward to mountain biking and riding in new places.
