My oldest son earned his Masters degree in Genetic Seed Engineering this past Friday from the University of Georgia.
My out of pocket cost for his 6 years of school was less than $15,000 due to Scholarships and grants he earned.
He has a job waiting on him at the Emory University doing research on human gene gnomes. His nickname is IRA if you get my drift.
I may be the luckiest SOB any of you know.

On top of being a fine son and a good looking kid he can wheel a scooter pretty damn good also.

Larry,

It's looks like you have done all the right things, and have a couple of good looking kids.

Congrats buddy, it's the American way.

Thanks jmar, but I have 3 sons

Thats the middle one on the right and he is a senior at Georgia State ( on a full scholarship)
majoring in Business.
He is my 4 wheel gear head and has 3 wins this year (his first) in SCCA solo competition,
He can drive the shit out of anything with wheels and plans on coming to work with me in the trucking business when he graduates.

Like I said I may be the luckiest guy any of you know.

Great sons and a great Dad (and Mom).
Its been a trip watching the Friday family blossom.
It all started with the wedding of two kids in Fayetteville around 1981.

Congrats, Larry! Bragging on your kids is the greatest kind of bragging there is. All a product of fine parenting as well. By the way, I took my little guy on his first "real" fishing trip. He and I tool around a bit in my little flat boat and catch a few reds, but this weekend we took a trip down at Shell Beach in my friend's boat and hit the rigs. The little guy had a blast putting his first 3 lb. speck in the boat!

Larry brought the kids down here and got a taste of the La. speck action a while back. The action is as good as ever down here despite the oil mess in the Gulf.

Thanks thumpa, been thinking a lot about you and your family lately with the oil mess.
Glad to hear the fishing is still good down your way. Maybe we can make it down that way in the fall for a little fishing.
If you make it down yzthumpa's way look him up. He and his family are good people and will even let you pet their pet alligator. Cool

Here are a few pics of meal ticket and IRA's catch from our last trip.
