OK 2 things.

That chick is an asshole for taking money when she shouldn't be.

Nowhere in that story does it say anythng about republican or democrat.

Big fucking deal. She is a POS, but she is a very, very small time POS.

GE paid no taxes, which equates to her getting a million bucks a month for several years.

And how about Romney using every loop hole in the Tax code to pay less taxes than people that make less than a quarter of what he makes?

Nah, he is right.

She has all of her teeth, so she obviously is not with the GOP.

Romney? You want to back up that claim? You even know how much he paid in taxes?

Romney earned no wages in 2011, but had profit/interest/dividend income of $20.9 million in 2011. He will pay $3.2 million in taxes (estimated) for 2011. He reduced the amount of taxes he has to pay by giving about $3.5 million to charity.

If you make less than a quarter of what he makes (say, $5 million), how is it you will pay more than $3.2 million in taxes?

It was a guess, I do not know the exact numbers. He paid a pittance compared to most people when you look at the percentage. But I think you got my point. She is a small time POS compared to the richest of the rich. That in know way means I don't care, I just think there are much bigger fish to fry.

Oh and she is no longer getting the assistance. They stopped it.

When you start bringing in as much business as GE you can do the same.

So you believe that if GE brings in "business", they shouldn't have to pay taxes?

No wonder this country is fucking broke.

The government got something like $200,000 in taxes from her. It would take a loooong time for that $200 per month to add up to 200k.

Just sayin'

That's my point. And while what she was doing, the money has been stopped now, was despicable, she was small time. But, everyone gets all riled up about it because they can relate to it. But the wall street fat cats and politicians get away with stealing millions and the outrage is minor compared to this.

The difference between the "small time POS" and entrepreneurs who make millions, is that the business owners are creating value for others to benefit from as well... jobs, benefits, a career for thousands of people, while the "small time POS" not only doesn't work (or contribute anything to society at large) but worse, takes from their fellow man (the taxpayer) for most--if not all--of their life. That's a simple way of explaining a much more complicated economic dichotomy, but that's the way it is.

People that complain about others who make more money than them and have more write offs should use it as an inspiration to rise to a higher level and thus have more write offs.

The system is so flawed it's unbelievable. I have a buddy and a family member that work in the welfare system. They both say they are in the "FREE MONEY BIZ"! Welfare is rampant in our area and out of control.

They can't give it away fast enough. I hear commercials on the radio explaining that "You to may qualify" for food stamps. It's like having a commercial for Preparation H, you don't need to be told you need it.

It is bad for a person that is receiving food stamps that does not require them. It is bad for their self esteem. Really it is stealing and it will drive a person down from their already lowered level of value, from their own somewhat blinded viewpoint. Too bad really.

Hopefully never. Can you imagine how bad it would be if organized religion had a legit lobby in congress?

This country is broke because we spend more then we bring in.

How many people work for GE buy products and pay taxes? Everyone seems mad at GE for playing by the rules the government put in place to try and bring in business's. If you want to be pissed be pissed at the right people.
