A mother with cubs. Never good, rationale goes out the door, when the young ones are involved. Not much that guy could've done, other than not be there in the first place. Wear a bell and make noise, but that would've made the elk search futile. Lol

Happened up near my neck of the woods. If I had a Facebook I would share but my wife showed it to me. The dude took pictures of himself after the attack. Amazing it wasn't worse and it was still horrible. Guys lucky to be alive

I stumbled onto a black bear while hiking where we trail ride in the off season. Luckily it was scared of me too. It took off one way and me in the other. It was doing the puffing through the cheeks thing. I'm never going in those woods again without bear spray. I can't even imagine what it must be like seeing a Grizzly.

I watched his video last night and seen the pictures from the hospital. Todd Orr gets my vote for toughest man on the planet award. No fucks given.
I hunt elk in bear country so best wishes to him.

How was he stupid? Scouting for elk and he jumps a sow and two cubs, I don't see what he could of done differently other than not be there.

Just a word to the wise bear spray doesn't always work. The guy sprayed the bear right I'm the face and it just kept on going. Of course I will say. Bear spray first then fire arm.

We usually get a bear picture every year on our trail cameras ,always a young black bear ,my guess is a young male that momma just gave the boot too trying to find a new home.we never see them while hunting.

We fed black bear whiskey/coke. After a while the old boar was liquor up. We sat him on his ass. All took pictures with him. He had massive hangover. Then left in the morning. Didn't stop to say goodbye. Those were awesome days.

Actually talk about insanely lucky. Glass half full, he survived TWO attacks and is still in pretty good shape. Better go buy a bunch of lottery tickets.

Snakes and creepy crawlies I can deal with all day but I get super paranoid about bears out in the woods here camping in upstate PA. Planning to do some traveling out west in the next year so my caution about grizzlies only increases with videos like this.
