Just crazy... new laptop $288

What model is it? I see one on-line for $298 but supposedly isn't sold in stores.

I guess there are several netbooks for $248 online as well and a tablet for $155:

Wow, it's on their site for $438. That would be a crazy deal. I guess I better go check our walmart.

It was part of their "early Black Friday" weekend, which they and many other retailers are having.

I recently bought a Compaq CQ62 from Best Buy for $329. All the reviews said it was OK, but you should spend a few hundred $$ more for better hardware options. I'm replacing a 7 year old Dell POS, and this Compaq hit the mark perfectly. It all depends on what your needs are.

Sort of off topic- I was talking to a Dell engineer a few weeks ago and he said that the electronics industry is the only industry where tech must advance better but retail prices must go down. Every other industry the prices go up. price dropping is artificial and is killing the OEMs but they have to survive.
