I don't know if he is or isn't but his confidence level is on par with Chael Sonnen. . . without the buffoonery of course. The UFC has lost a lot of its luster for me with all of the characters out. The era of Rampage Jackson, Chuck Liddell, Spider Silva, GSP, and lots of other big names has come and gone. The most recognizable name in MMA is a female fighter. . . I still enjoy watching fights, but you don't see the showmanship out of these guys as you used to. Part of the fun for me watching was seeing which guys could do the most talking and then go out and back it up. The Chael Sonnen interviews were hilarious when he was about to fight Silva.

I used to even watch The Ultimate Fighter but just haven't been that interested in the past few seasons. I just hope they get some guys that have character again.

The UFC needs to pay their stars. I don't follow the sport at all, but I have a few friends and a cousin who compete in MMA and follow it like religion. They said its hard to attract new blood when you don't pay them. Dana sure gets rich and can make up his own PPV numbers though. So theirs that. I counted three boxers on this list and zero UFC guys.

I agree 100% with that. It's crazy to see the numbers between boxing and UFC. . .

you can not really compare the two revenue wise, its like the difference between AMA SX and Formula 1,

the world watched the Money May Pacman fight, yet you dont get that for a one off UFC fight, it is growing, but its got a long way to go to match the boxing fights

The payouts are ridiculous, especially now that the fighters will be losing money not being able to display their sponsors on their trunks and no more ring side banners before the fight.

I'm not so up to speed on how the UFC pays, but I imagine it's a bit like the AMA racers. Not enough money to line all of the pockets. It is horseshit if they can't advertise on their boxing shorts and ring side banners anymore. Maybe the UFC is managed by the same promoters as SX where it limits the athlete's ability to make money.

Pride fighting with bracket fights was the real deal. Guys would fight these different opponents in a night. Those guys were beasts.

You'll see a lot of 2nd tier guys signing with Bellator I imagine. To get away from that Reebok deal.

Conor McGregor was entertaining at first. Now I can't think of a more annoying public figure. Maybe he will just go away to Hipsterville if he loses.

McGregor won't have time to taunt and show boat, Mendes will be in his face and taking him down. Alpha Male fighters are nonstop for 5 rounds.

I'm not much for trash talking but McGregor telling Aldo to " Sit in his Lap" during the press conference was pretty funny.

That was insane ! The slow mo replay showed his nose completely limp just flopping around on his face .

Mendes had no cardio. He was gassed after the first round.

He almost had him though.

Yeah,,, because of McGregor's body kicks more than likely.

Great night for UFC, that Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald fight was just insane.

I agree, it was the body kicks, he landed a couple spinning back kicks to his gut that hurt him early on. That was one of the best fight cards ever. Back to back knockouts by knees and then a brutal title fight between Robbie and Rory. Rory's nose is mush now and Robbie's lip was split halfway up his face. I've been on the fence about McGregor but he was really tested and was respectful when the fight was over. Can't wait until he fights Aldo.
