We're supposed to be around the mid 90's this weekend. It's about 83 right now. Still have snow in the mountains.

Man...been looking forward to summer...and here it is.

Today is supposed to top out at 92, tomorrow 97. That might not sound hot so some, but one week ago today our high was 57 degrees.....

It snowed about 3 weeks ago.

It's a pretty sudden heat spell for us, we usually don't get close to the upper 90s til the end of June or so.

It's 101 here in the Sierra foothills just west of Yosemite with more to come through the weekend. Snow's melting & this is the peak time for the waterfalls. River rafting should be good to. The valley's hot.

Yeah...Lake Tahoe is 10 minutes from my house. Horrible place to live. I hate the fact the closest ski resort is also 10 minutes from my driveway.

I'm sure it's no Vegas.

Yeah...it's pretty sudden here too. We barely had a spring and last year we got snow the last week of May.

Either way...I enjoy it.

I starting to relate to the settlers that went on killing rampages because of the wind.

I should add..it's not the city you think in Nevada since you seem like a Google queen. It's a small burb up Mt Rose Hwy going into Tahoe. Technically we're in Reno city limits.

But Premix new that already. Not sure if your other self remembers?

Well we're supposed to go from 97 on Saturday to a high of something like 63 by Tuesday, so this one will be short lived. There is a lot of worry about avalanches in the mountain passes, though, and flooding on the rivers heading down the Cascades.

Volcati I miss your general area. When I lived in NorCal the softball team I played on would play in tournaments in the Tahoe(California side)/Sparks areas.

Cool....I just joined a softball team. Had our first game last week. Hadn't played in years...love it. We play tonight...I'm stoked. I was born in NoCal (Napa) and still have my grandma and some relatives there. Reno gets a bad rap because everyone associates it with the downtown section. Which is pretty nasty if you get lost on certain streets.

The wind is blowing your way.

Looks like one west of the 57 in the old Union 76 oil fields, and one on the opposite side of Carbon Canyon from the State Park.

Both small at the moment.

That's cool. Pre Mix told me the same thing on the phone once. Could be a coincidence...who knows.

Hows it going Mike? The 1st heat of the year is always the worse, not being use to it, it hits ya like a ton of bricks.

Its sizzling up here, about a buck and some change. Got in my car yesterday after a doc app. and my car read 108. Its 111 on the thermometer in my backyard right now.

Pure Hell. Sure wish i had the energy to go jump in the pool...

Hey Scottie,

Pretty good...no complaints. Haven't seen ya around in a while...I obviously have too much free time lately...but all good.

It does get super hot up in Redding...those trees turn it into a sauna. I feel for ya, man.

I can't believe I look out my window and see snow capped mountains and it's hotter here than it is in Florida.
