Hog Ring - Yea or Nay ?

Im getting a DeWalt impact on Cyber Monday, but cant decide whether to get the hog-ring model or without.

Which would you guys get, and why.

I have the 18 without , I can never get a socket off without sticking something in the hole and pressing the check ball in.

We were getting about a year out of the 18v impacts hog rings then they'd start dropping sockets.

I do not have the hog ring on the 20 and so far no issues.
