Enjoy your hunt.

Is the location you're hunting in part of the oil boom area?

As a youngster in the 70's I'd about piss my pants when a covey of quail would turn the sky dark and sound like a thunderstorm. Those 200 plus covey's are long gone now but the cackle of a rooster pheasant gets the adrenaline going!!

Pheasant hunting in Dallas, SD then duck hunting in Brookings, SD.

Just stopped at cabelas in Kansas City. I have plenty of ammo, although I'll just need 3 shells a day for pheasants. ;-)

Will your "clip" hold 3 shells? Smile
Laughing har Void, glad to see you've come around.

Huck might be OK with three shells, Robbie's been training him Laughing

The oil boom is further north. One of our guides sons is an electrician up there. He said they work 70-80 hours every week. On the oil rigs and new home construction.

I could be wrong because Hucks camera sucks but I think it's a Rock Island Armory, made in the Philippines. Kind of shocked Huck don't have the high dollar 1911. That's a good gun for the money though, I would love to have one.

I agree the only difference would be small details in manufacturing quality. I think this is an awesome deal, I hope to get one before they sell out. They had broom handle Mausers for a while. My dad had one that was found In a river in Germany, it had the original wooden holster/stock. Some of my first memories were holding that gun, he gave it away to a Special Forces buddy! I still wake up in the middle of the night sad about that shit. Those are the coolest pistols ever, and even in unfireable condition they go for 600 bucks.

These are only 89 bucks! I have read that they aren't that God awful but I held one at a pawn shop and decided I didn't want one.
