Love the Eagles.... that sucks... plus his solo stuff...

He died from complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, the Eagles announced

Absolutely gutted to hear this. Glenn was truly an icon and his presence in the music industry will forever be missed.

The Eagles are one of my favorite bands of all time.Their music is just so timeless.

RIP Glenn.

One of the best concerts i went to in my high school years, hotel California tour.

The ulcer and the arthritis sounds like meds ate a hole in his stomach. That arthritis medicine is good for that.

Smugglers blues.

A legend

That was the first Eagles song I learned on the guitar when I was a kid.

Eagles defined so much of my memories growing up. One of my first all nighter was on the river with a summer fling and Peaceful Easy Feeling.
The night I won the series hi point at my local track I was back partying at that River and it was the first time I heard their new album One of these Nights. It was an epic night, on my personal hi-light reel.
My first monster concert was a Day on the Green at the Oakland Colosium with Loggins and Messina (their last), Linda Ronstadt and Eagles as the mainline. 6 great friends, another epic road trip.
Thank you Glenn Frey and Eagles for impacting those memories with your mastery.

Why couldn't it be Kanye West instead of Bowie and Frey (and even Weiland)?

I don't know how good they sounded when they were about 30 years old, but they sounded damn good in
Austin last summer.

He was on the Dan Patrick show about 8 months ago and it was such a good interview. Just sounded like a good dude shooting the shit with his friends. He covered a wide variety of items, too. One thing that stood out to me was on today's Dan Patrick show they were reflecting on him. They said he treated everyone so nicely, from Dan to the camera guys (which isn't always the case with guests). I suggest listening to the segment he was on the show, even if you're not a sports fan.

That sounds like good times man.

They wernt really from my era but were from my older bros era. When they did that PBS concert in the mid 90's I commented to my bro the next day how great I thought they were. Hes like "No shit, thats real music, not like the crap nowadays" Laughing

I love this interview...

Glenn Frey reminisced in the 2013 film History Of The Eagles: The Story Of An American Band: "I was riding shotgun in a Corvette with a drug dealer on the way to a poker game. The next thing I know we're doing 90. Holding! Big-Time! I say 'Hey man!' He grins and goes 'Life in the fast lane!' I thought, 'Now there's a song title."'
