In preparation for the Thanksgiving Holiday I'm curious....

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

I love the Honey Baked Ham.....my holiday is not complete without it.

Anyone have any special recipes?

I like the ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy, rolls and pumpkin pie...that's all.

Mash Potatoes and Gravy. Awesome.

Make a crater in the middle of your mash potatoes and fill with gravy. Try not to damage the walls while eating. If the wall gets breached it will cause mass flooding in the low lying valley of your plate.

Mine was always my grandmothers homemade dressing with giblet gravy. I haven't had it for maybe 20 years now but man it was so good. Happy Turkey day boys and eat some for me.

I could live off pie. Two of the four I made. This year Libby's pumpkin adding all the spices. Next year I'm gonna grow my own.
My grandmas were dark and amazing. The things you wish you had ask how to make?

Nobody cooks like Grandma. But most pumpkin pies are dark because they use brown sugar instead of white sugar.

It is hard for me to pick a favorite, you can switch it up with turkey or ham but there will always be pumpkin pie. I like turkey gravy but nothing beats ham gravy. A good honey baked ham with pineapple and cherry, then make the gravy from the drippings. Now that is holiday food. Ham drippins, garlic salt, flour and milk. Such a smooth flavorful gravy.

Me too, I will eat almost anything but sweet potatoes and/or yam's (are they the same thing?) just freak me out. No way I am touching those things.

And motosmith was spot on with the mashed potatoes and gravy, that shit is awesome.

Stuffing is great too, add gravy for extra greatness.

Or just screw tradition and go for sour cream/chicken enchilada's with jalapeno's. That is on the Christmas menu coming up soon.

Baked Oyster Dressing. My Mother had to make multiple pans to keep the peace at the table.

Tough call, but I gotta say the turkey that comes out of our Big Easy oil-less turkey fryer is almost too good to be true. My wife's sweet tater casserole is so good that if I put some on your forehead, your tongue would beat your brains out trying to get to it. Her apple pie is amazing too.

Mine is the leftover sandwich the next day while watching some football. This was last year's.

I guess I need to do more testing.

I usually just look forward to the turkey sandwiches over the next few days. Unfortunately there was none of that for me this year.

I should have added homemade mincemeat pie. My Mom's is legendary. Some of them, she will start months in advance and maybe ferment a little lol.
