Woke my house up! Felt them before but never woke up from sleep. The sounds too. Crazy!!

Felt from Iowa to Mexico. Epi center just north of OKC. Saying somewhere around 6.0.

I was dreaming and thought Linda Blair got in my bed overnight!!

Thought it would never stop.

Man, I hate those things! I've been in 3 over the years the last one in July in Tokyo and I still don't like them.

Hope everyone is safe!

Weather radar shows the massive flights of birds taking to air immediately following the onset. Registers on the radar like a storm moving away, in a 360 degree fashion, from the epicenter

We had one in Oregon last year, same thing. Woke up to the bed shaking, thought it was some demonic shit. Definitely a creepy feeling.

I'm in Stillwater, about 20 miles as the crow flies from Pawnee, 9 miles from epicenter.

This one was a very amazing tremor, we are used to fracking earthquakes......it started, the noise and the moving went on for about ten seconds or so....it started and I immediately woke up, started listening for the wind and rain from a tornado....lol. Serious movement, was glad I was on third floor of my apt and wasnt gonna get mashed by two other floors falling on me.

I was already up, 51 miles away, the longest and strongest yet for me. Would have swore it would have been centered way closer than that.

Damn thing was 41 miles deep too, not anything near our typical quakes around the Arbuckle depth from injection wells.

It was definitely the longest for me also.

You are close to Arbuckle mts and Turner Falls?

Fried pies from that place along interstate at Arbuckle exit are amazing!!!

Nah, talking about the Arbuckle geologic formation. It's the formation the majority of the newer salt water disposal wells are injecting water into. The Arbuckle formation varies in depth across the state.

I'm in Ft. Worth. I was half asleep and thought somebody was stomping around on the roof. When I felt the apartment building shaking, I knew that was not the case. It stopped after about 10-15 seconds. Went back to sleep and forgot about it until I saw this thread. I'm about 300 miles from the epicenter. Unreal! I thought I only had to worry about tornadoes.

This was no frac quake. Im not saying that the injections didnt get us here but saying this one felt different. More solid.

Yeah, lasted almost 2 minutes here, 41 miles deeps versus less than 2 miles deep.

I was raised Catholic, so that shit freaks me out too. Glad you're not actually possessed.

I absolutely hate earthquakes, they freak me out like nothing else. I grew up in San Diego, and they never really bothered me much - I slept through Northridge in '94 - but ever since the big one hit Japan in 2011, I get spooked at even the slightest tremor. It was like no quake I've ever felt before; more like being on a boat rather than the usual jolt of every other quake I've been in. And the fact it lasted almost 5 minutes didn't do much to help, either.

Wow! Just had another one. Its so weird how violent they shake a house. Feels like itis going to collapse!

This time, the epicenter was in Justin Bogle's hometown.

We get a ton up here. A 6.0 is a pretty solid quake, definitely enough to get the house moving a bit.
