If I recall correctly from living down there, 295 east is the fastest of the 3 options to get around J-ville. Downtown is hellish in season on a weekday... (not sure about weekends).

I would use 295 east as well.

I was through there 2 weeks ago and had to reroute to 95 due to a 4 fatality accident on 295 and 95 was a mess from construction.

Well, where are you going? 295 east and west do not exist. It is 295 north or south. I would just stay on 95 - unless you're coming to Jacksonville.

Sorry, but your post is not very clear.

You're welcome, and again, I'd just stay on 95. It is only another 35 miles to St. Augustine once you pass Jax. Have fun!

It must have changed since I lived down there. I was pretty sure you could take 295 either on the east side or the west side of Jax.

You can, but they run north and south. Wink

Avidchimp is correct. AC, you must have lived here at one time.

It all makes sense now. Next time you're in town, shoot me a mail and we'll do some riding.

I used to live in jax. I would say if you make it at 2 pm definitely just stay on 95. It's a good bit faster. If you end up passing through closer to 4 then you might be better off taking the east 295.

Yep, just stay on I-95, no need to hit the 295 bypass unless you are driving through during rush hour traffic. At 2pm you should breeze right on through.
