I've searched and can't find any reports or analyses as to why diesel prices are so low, and will they stay low.
Maybe someone better at the Google can find something.

Today they said on the News Gas was higher because the refining to get low emissions Gas the oil they used was in low supply.

I honestly think at this point it's the typical , "Summer Vacation" excuse to screw us all.

None of these markets are real these day's they are all based of predictions and satisfying share holders.

It's 4.95 across from our apartment. But it's only 3.85 near our work. These stations are 8 miles apart

They have us by the short and curly ones. I've often said that with an organized effort you target the biggest offender, the company that is raping us the worst. then nobody gets gas there for one week. You still buy gas, you just don't do it at let's say BP. Then if they drop their price to a reasonable level we move on to the next company. So we are not inconvenienced, we just don't buy from the worst offender. they are not set up for storage and one week of back up and they will have to comply just to get the pipeline moving.

Diesel drops in the summer because it's used to heat homes too. Since no one is running their furnace the market gets flooded. Of course when it begins to cool down in the fall, prices spike back up.

30 gallons, 75 bucks. I remember paying $155.00 for that back in 08/09. Of course I also remember it being 62 cents a gallon back in 1999.
