Nascar is going backwards IMO this Charter BS now I hear about a shot clock?

Starting with the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 19, CWTS races will use a 20-minute timer that begins counting down at the start of each green-flag run. If no caution period occurs before the 20-minute limit elapses, the yellow flag will fly and give teams the opportunity to make pit stops and adjustments under caution.

What ever happened to the guy loading his race car head to the track and try and qualify to make a race..."Run what ya brung"

Obama couldn't have made this many rules up himself, Brian France is a dictator and needs his own Country ~ Iraq is looking for a new leader Brian how bout moving there?
This year ending playoff deal sucks ass and leaves out the team thats consistent yet rewards those who are the least consistent.

cutting the field from 43 to 40, that I can make sense of. no more qualify and park guys

The charter rule is a direct response to the owners getting together and forming alliances. Don't be surprised if you see the drivers organizing in the future. Back in the sixties and seventies Nascar could hold a tighter grip but now the sport is so big I don't see them being able to lock out drivers and owners like they did in the past. The charter rule is a necessary capitulation and offers the owners a return on their investment. After years in the sport as a driver owner Ricky Rudd sold his team and barely broke even. In other sports when an owner sells their franchise they make billions. It sucks that the Wood Brothers didn't get a charter but they were a part time team. If Nascar give them a charter it opens Nascar up to litigation from other part-time teams.

Wood Brothers Racing has left the Race Team Alliance because of this charter BS. I don't know why they give Jay Robinson a charter but not the Wood Bros.

I really should sign up for the league to. I always find myself watching those loaded bill-hilly's drive straight and left for the better part of 3 hours. Love watkins glen too, those turn tracks make some exciting racing.

No,i haven't. I'm on the net for minutes a day, i hit the local news, here and weather.

Question, does it take much time to do?

On the wood brothers, nascar could have made some obscure rule that got them in. Like all the crazy rules they came up with to end a race now.

And,that Fox nhra broadcast last nite, why did it seem like it was home movies? I couldn't figure it out.

It was like the booth guys were in a trailer in another state,or the sound was wrong, dunno.

At least my Johnson buddies went faster than the teams they lost mopar to.

Running the Duels at night is somewhat of a hindrance, Running hard and making changes to your Chassis in 50- 60 Deg. weather and then running with twice as many cars on a Sunday afternoon 20-30+ Deg. difference has to make it pretty hard to get the car right.

Still diggin on the "DUELS" though Laughing BLANEY & ELLIOTT...two Rooks running well

Think we're getting a feel for what the 500 is going to be like Sunday......Log laps in one line till 50 to go.

Nascar still don't have the chassis right for the plate tracks....see more action in tomorrow nights truck race. Get it right

Restrictor plate "racing" is garbage. The 500 is only about 50 miles of racing.

I'm afraid Bubba Wallace just isn't going to make it in Nascar....with moves like that in what? his 4th year in Nascar? and still doing shit like that.
Seems he is either in a wreck or causing one

But Roush is still hanging onto Stenhouse for some reason so Milk that seat Bubba, Milk it! LaughingLaughingWhistling

Sauter gives Chevrolet it's first Daytona win in the truck series. Christopher Bell transported to a local hospital following about 9 rollovers on the last lap
