I recently watched "A football life" episode on Lyle Alzado.

Being a Seahawk fan, from back around 1980, I was NO FAN of the Raiders. I don't know if I will ever forgive Bo Jackson for running through Brian Bosworth.

Anyway, I also never liked Lyle Alzado.

That show changed my mind. While he was a GREAT competitor on the field, he was also a genuine "nice guy" off the field. Had his personal demons to deal with regarding relationships (married 4 times, with large doses of infidelity), and the steroids.

He did the right thing at the end, and came clean, hoping to dissuade others from making the same decisions that he made.

The NFL did not outlaw, nor test, steroids until he was out of the league, so he really never "broke" that rule.

If you are a football fan from the 1980's, you should watch that show.
I did watch it. THey showed it, and the Marcus allen ones back to back. It made me, as a raider fan, see Al Davis as a genius at 1st, and an idiot at the end.
