Any you guys watch that show,"Ice Road Truckers"? Got a gal named LISA who is HOT!!
Young attractive girl driving in that weather conditions among all those guys and she is holding her own weight!! Read somewhere that she is a Motocrosser as well. I respect her for her looks as well as her dedication to her job. If you have not seen the show, check it out.

Everyone says they're a motocrosser today
If you've ever looked at a dirt bike, you're a motocrosser

If I was one of the guys up there, I'd be on that like a duck on a june bug.

Be a nice way to stay warm.

You "respect" her for her looks? Sure, she's pretty... but odd choice of words.

I have a daughter her age, so I watch my words when I speak of attractive young ladies. I am sure that there are many, many attractive female truckers out on the roads. The conditions that Lisa drives in are very dangerous and she goes head on with her work therefore I respect her determination as well as her looks.

Yep. I've seen the show and thought that she was way too cute to be driving a truck in those conditions. She needs a sugardaddy.

First time old-thread-reviver here. 7 years, I impressed myself.

Didn't realize the new season was going until I stumbled on it last night after wifey let me have the flicker.

After a few minutes, she says 'so which one of those guys died last month anyway?' (Seen in a FB link, apparently).

That called for Google.

RIP Darrell - damn...

You sure? Her Boyfriend used to be a member of Freestylemtx.com when it was still popular.

Maybe she switched teams

She drove for Carlisle and I would see her in the chow hall on the North Slope where I worked for 10 years till last fall.
Her husband was or is into freestyle MX and was a little Alaskan native fella who was a loader operator at a mud plant up there and from what I've heard was good on a bike. So you know, the show plays all the danger hype up in a big way, I drove the ice roads in and around Prudhoe Bay 10 years...it's no big deal. The roads are built up and tested constantly, it's down to a science now a days. From what I heard she is terrible in a tractor with her shifting and backing, and in person....not all that attractive to be honest. But hey its good tv I spose, although I have no interest in watching it.
It's the weather conditions that give you the challenge at times. It's so flat that the wind kicks up frequently and in the long winter ground blizzards are frequent blowing snow and killing your visibility.

X2. Drove ice roads on Mackenie up by Inuvik. Drilling project, Drove with my Subaru, studded ice Nokian tires. Like I was on rails. Awesome traction. I enjoy Arctic. The people you meet are interesting. From all walks of life. Native Eskimo, Europeans, Americans, even the odd East Indian. Anchorage, Valdez, Skagway, Whitehorse, Dawson. All good places to visit. Cool

Here's a few pics of an ice road out on the Arctic Ocean....boring and slow, you even get an escort in a pickup to follow so the tailights put you to sleep at 15mph...

I watched about 10-20 minutes of one show in the first season, and it was all I could stand. Who......the FUCK.....hires a guy from southern Ontario, who just got his license, to come work on the ice roads? Anyone who has lived or trucked in the cold knows what I mean. Great television, idiotic (on a good day) in real life. Seen -48C in Alberta, and that wasn't accompanied by a raging blizzard. Love when some guy from Alabama is in Calgary in January at the truckstop, in a jean jacket, complaining about the cold. "They tell you ANYTHING about coming up here this time of year?" Obviously not.

Grizzly, Muskox. Had some Muskox (like a buffalo, tougher breed). It was good. Some natives, said "hey whitey, trade my Muskox for some whiskey". I obliged. If you ever want to listen to interesting radio. Go to CBC north. "Johnny Anyways, hope you catching fish aye". WoohooSideways
