Man, back in high school I had a cassette with "Dark Side" on one side and "Wish You Were Here" on the other. Disclaimer: I like "Wish" more. Does that make me a bad person?

Careful with that ax Eugene.

See emily play.

One of these days.

The documentary of either Syd Barrett,or wish you were here is a must see.

And the one about dark side. Saw both on vh1 classic.

Umma gumma is pretty trippy.

Breathe

Obviously, I was expecting something different. But, something tells me there are probably some common lysergic interests shared between the two bands.

Yeah, I like animals as much as any of them.

In the documentary they tell how the voices ended up on dark, the guy saying he is mad and always been mad,or I was really drunk at the time.

Very cool documentary.

When they were taping shine on there was a guy in studio they didn't know but knew,it turn out to be Syd ,after his breakdown. Its good stuff.

Animals is right up there but this cut from Wish You Were Here makes it tough to top.
The slide guitar is wicked good.

I may be need to clear up ,if you don't know who Syd is and all.

Wish you were here was written for and about Syd Barrett, the founder of pink floyd who went crazy from LSD and most likely schizophrenia ,which came 1st is a guess.

Beck in the MotoGP season I was watching qualifications one morning on sky I think,it was the British guys. They were cutting up like they do and one commented on a riders lap saying it was " short, shot, sharp " or whatever it is you here softly in a song on dark side.

I knew, but wondered how many people watching knew where it came from.

Killer album, on vinyl no less. Cool
Yessir, just as this music was intended to be heard, full dynamic range and smooth sin wave.

The Wall is ingrained into my mind from my childhood. I still start it on side 1 and let it play through when I'm wrenching in the garage.
