Go Like Hell. By A.J. Baime. Wife got it for me for Xmas, just finished it. About Ford vs Ferrari at Lemans in the 1960s. I knew different things about the history but the book is a great story of some interesting people involved. Henry Ford II, Enzo Ferrari, Carroll Shelby, John Surtees. Crazy time in racing, and some crazy characters.

If P.O.W. books are what do it for you, try 'the man who broke into Auswicz' and 'the railway man', both true stories and both are about jaw droppingly brave men, each in their own way. Sorry they're both about Brits but still worth any bodies time and effort to find and read.
I would say "enjoy" but that's not quite the right word.

Thanks. Sounds good. I don't know much about it other than Shelby really, really pissed off Enzo with the GT40. Will check it out, sounds really good.

Is that right. That should be really good. I just saw the documentary a few weeks ago that he did on Paul Newman's racing career.
