Anything other than cats/dogs? I'm a reptile lover, and have a Russian tortoise, 2 crested geckos, and am temporarily raising 4 baby turtles (red eared sliders and painted turtles)

We had two bearded dragons but one had to be put down. We also have an iguana that is an asshole and a gecko. We have also recently had a chameleon that lived 7 years and a chinchilla. My wife is the reptile person, not me.

Also 2 dogs and 4 cats.

2 Mississippi Map turtles. They look like red eared sliders but have yellow stripes and round eyes. They were our daughters when she was young. Then she went into the Navy for 4 years, then she went to college for 4 years, and that seems like it was 4 or 5 years ago. You know about reptiles ? How long these sumbitches live ? There both girls, Raphael and Michaelangelo, that's how long we've had them... Laughing

Cool.
I had to give one of our young 350 pound Galapagos tortoises some fluids due to a suspected broken egg causing her to have a bacteria infection. Good times. She is feeling better already.

Thats got to be interesting putting am IV in! I would imagine at least an 18 for insertion strength? Do you do it by feel and anatomical landmarks? Just NS (as the flush), not to affect possible differences of animal to human, in regards to the metabolic panel?

I have had a Western Box Turtle for over two and a half decades now.

We lost him for two years once, and since then he has been an outside turtle.

Frank, the turtle, just recently emerged from hibernation -- the 20th time he has done so!

Inbetween the vertebrate at the base of tail is the accessible vein. We had just drawn blood from there.
sub Q ringers with dextrose in this pic. Yes 18 gage. She is only 17 and this is her first clutch. High calcium and low white cells. If she is not significantly better by Wednesday we will transport to University of Florida to thier facility for further tests.

I keep an 8 foot gator in the pool. Dont have to worry about the neighbor's kids swimming when we're out of town.

My buddy has 2 fainting goats on his farm.
I was over there last weekend and my wife stopped by "where are the boys?"

"They're out back drinking beer screaming at the goats".

He told me it would be fun, he's right, I laughed my ass off. burp.

Back in my early 20's I had an albino Ferret named Moto. Red eyes, white fur. No idea why I thought that would be cool.

Bastard would steal everything left on the floor, and drag it under the couch. Shoes, socks, purses (not mine, really), clothes, everything. Like a pack rat, it was funny trying to watch him drag things that weighed 5x his weight and try to make it squeeze under the couch (which would never fit). But he would keep trying until we ruined his party.

Stunk too, had to clean the cage 2-3 times a week and he still stunk.

That's cool as hell! I really want a pied ball python, and am a pretty big fan of raptors. Curious what you had to go through to get permits/and the actual bird?

Serious business, Wreckbro. That dude in the vid is a spode. Gators is docile if you tickle them just right. Mine is named Harry Jr. I tell him I keep him around to patrol the pool for little kids, but what he don't know is that his tail is looking better with each passing day.
