I've really only become a fan of their music as a whole last summer, not just their "hit" songs.
I got early presale tickets but I wasn't happy with them (best available) so I got GA/pit tickets too. The reserved tickets are close, but couldn't be any farther to the right of the stage, seats 1-2. So one pair I will sell.

I'm going with my wife and not looking forward to getting arrested if someone hurts her, but she thinks she wants to be in the GA area. If we hang towards the back it shouldn't be too bad. For Iron Maiden I was in the first row of reserved seats, just behind the GA and I don't remember it being too bad. Different type crowd though.

Anyone else going to see Slipknot this summer?

I dig slipknot

The first one was ok, too much sampling and scratching for me. Had some good riffs. The second one, 'Iowa' was more metal less industrial. Vol. 3 was great. Rick Rubin is a genius even if Corey Taylor thinks he's a dick. After that one Corey Taylor thought he could sing and it was so boring i turned it off and never bough another 'knot album.

As for the show, I have been to multiple slipknot shows (the best was when Lamb of God opened). There are pits and stuff but its not like people sacrifice virgins in the crowd. You and your lady will be fine, just find other dudes with their ladies. They used to put on a really good show but they are probably a little older and fatter and don't jump off of shit and tackle each other anymore like they used to. I don't think all the original members are with them anymore (like Joey Jordison?). Have fun.

Wifeypoo has all their music. She plays it enough for both of us. I'm not sure the albums but I like it. Some songs I like are Dead Memories and Psychosocial
I think killpop is one of latest songs? It's alright she loves it.

I only have the "The Gray Chapter" which is their latest album, but the Slipknot and Iron Maiden channel are definitely my most listened to iHeart channels.

Love slipknot. I seen them a few years ago, they put on a phenomenal show. Some of their older "heavier" stuff I wasn't a huge fan of but all of their stuff over the last few years is great. You and your lady will be fine, you'll know who to stay away from. The show I was at there was a constant line of medics carrying people who overdosed out. Don't take random drugs from random people (obviously)

The first time I heard them I was driving home from racing my first race at Pepsi air Dania and Dave kimmy who was announcing followed me back to my trailer after practice and told me I had to move up a class or I didn't get to race. Also my childhood best friend who got me into moto at a young age happened to come to watch the race but we had not seen each other in over a decade. I holeshot and was taken out in the 2nd turn but got up and ran my class down and won both motos. I guess Dave was right but I had not raced since I was a kid and surprised myself big time. On the way home I was so fired up and happy. I heard a song that had me so pumped that I instantly called the radio station and asked who it was? SLIPKNOT wait and bleed

Saw them in Greensboro '09. Really high energy. Great show. Not a huge fan now(Iowa was my favorite album and song as well), but so glad I went when I did before Joey left and Paul died. Oh, and be ready to be roughed up lol

Was really into them when they first came on to the scene, their first two albums I wore out but lost interest a bit from the third onwards. Never got to see them in their early days and feel like I don't want to now as it just wouldn't be the same.
I think they are a massively talented bunch that often get overlooked because of the nature of the music, over here at least.

I haven't really listened to Slipknot, but I have always been a big fan of Korn and came across this cover Korn and Slipknot did of the Beastie Boy's Sabotage that was pretty sweet. I do wonder if Slipknot ever regrets doing the mask thing. That has to be tough!

Do you know how I know you are gay?

SK is ok but I just can't figure out why they need to have so many peopl in the band? Took my daughters to there forst concert offspring (we had front row). They had what seemed to be a bunch of extra peopl on stage like they had some old highschool pals that wanted to be included.
