I had been working on eliminating either Hulu or Netflix since I have both but then bought a year of Prime since I thought I could get my money back on free shipping over the course of the year . I don't think Netflix is going to make the short list and I will stay with Prime and Hulu.

Who are you using and why?

Out of the above, I use Netflix, because I don't pay the subscription fees and I can stream it off the PS4. Not tried the other two mind.

Haven't tried Hulu or Amazon but I had Netflix a couple years back and thought it sucked. The movie selection was minimal at best, I had to wait too long to get new episodes of popular shows and it seemed like every time I found a movie to watch the damn thing would stall out at some point and take 10min to get going. Hopefefully they've gotten better in the years since I dropped my subscription.

Reded, I find that the British Netflix is better for TV shows, and the American Netflix for movies. That's the good thing about Netflix is that you're not limited to only streaming content from your own country.

I had Netflix when they first started out and just shipped movies, so I have no experience with the streaming version.

I tried Hulu for a couple of weeks before. It was fine but I think the set up I had at the time wasn't good enough so I canx it.

I have had Amazon Prime for a few years. Even with the price increase it still works out to less than $9 per month. I think that is inline with Netflix and Hulu, plus free 2 day shipping. Paying for 2 day shipping alone would cost more than that. I guess there is streaming music too, but I haven't tried it.

The movie selection on Prime is decent, but it seems like there is never anything we want to see when we are in the mood for a movie. Kind of like satellite TV. A lot of really good documentaries though. Overall I am pleased with Prime and would recommend it.

We have had Netflix for a while and it's almost all that we watch. My gf just got Prime for 72 dollars a few days ago. They have more newer movies than Netflix. We haven't watched it much.

Netflix in our house. I watch series TV more than movies. Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, those type of shows suck me in more than movies. Although I did watch The Interview Saturday night. That movie is horrible.

We have all 3 on our Roku. Out of the 3, Amazon and Hulu get the most use by me and the wife. The kids seem to use Netflix more. My wife signed up for Amazon Mom, so in addition to the TV and free 2-day shipping, we also get 20% off diapers and other baby related items. It's already paid for itself.

Netflix is awesome.

FYI- If anyone is into history there is a show on Netflix called The Men who made America. Great documentary.

I actually think if you can swing it, Hulu & Netflix are the perfect combo.

If I picked just one, Netflix. Their UI is good on any device and I know lots of people complain about the "lack of" movies. But thanks to the lack of blockbusters and past favorites, I have really been able to watch some amazing movies I have never nor would of ever heard of.

One of my favorite things to do is to just pick an actor and go down every movie they have on Netflix.

Just started on Johnny Depp and watch "Whats Eating Gilbert Grape?". Leo and Depp were awesome in that movie, specially as just kids.

I haven't had Prime before, but I've had Hulu and Netflix. I didn't care for Hulu very much, I wasn't impressed with their selection, but that may be different now (I haven't used it in a year or two now). Netflix is for movies and Dish is for sports in my house. I don't need anything else, and I definitely don't have time to be sitting in front of the TV much anyway.

Just like the times when people argue about what motocross bike is the best: it's all about your preference. I believe all of them offer free trials, so I'd just sign up with a prepaid credit card (I always forget to go back and cancel my subscription) and see what you like/don't like.

We tried them all, at the end of the day they all have the same crappy movies, same crappy TV shows & the only thing that separates them is a few shows that only one or the other has & Netflix is making original content which so far a bunch of them have been really good.

Great response. Thank you.

I am looking forward to Sons of Anarchy season 7, Green Arrow season 3. Took a while but I got my binge watching under control. Before Christmas I had a few lost evenings but now am too busy to watch more than an hour a night.

I'm waiting for SoA season 7 too. It's on Prime but it's not free yet. I thought it would be by now. Still waiting.

I think it's gonna be a while till SOA 7 is streaming without paying extra. Last season, they are going to milk it with DVD sales, etc until that cow runs dry then it will be avail streaming

I don't use any of the ones mentioned. I use www.kat.ph. Oh, and The Interview was the best movie so far this century.

What are you guys streaming from? I have a Roku and there's a FX channel that I watch the new season of Justified on for free the day after it airs. Amazon you have to pay for the current season, but on the FX channel you don't. Same with SoA. The only thing is you have to sign in with your tv provider, but I used my parents account info to access it. Do you have anyone that would let you use their account? They won't receive emails or anything, and once you sign in, that's it. You don't have to sign in each time. I did the same with the History Channel, A&E, Fox, and a few other channels.

I stream Netflix from a smart tv and xbox. My Roku sucked. the wifi antenna was horrible. I also streamed from laptop and plugged that into the TV hdmi input. That worked slick.

Now we have Google Fiber and it's automatically on all tvs (the black box by each tv). YouTube is also available on all TV's. THAT is cool. I find I use YouTube more than ever now.
cool thing is, I can move cursor to middle of the movie and poof, instantly starts playing. No rendering at all.

Which Roku did you have? We have the Roku 3, it works really well, but it's also right next to the modem/router so it has a strong signal. We were going to upgrade to a smart tv, but now that 4Ks are out, we're going to wait until the price drops a bit and for more 4K programs before upgrading. I would LOVE to have fiber internet. A nearby town has it, and they're rolling it out in phases, so hopefully it'll make it's way toward us pretty soon. I can't even fathom 1gbps speeds. I'm so over Comcast, but they literally have you by the balls on internet in terms of speed.

I'm using a Roku, I have Netflix and Hulu and that is pretty much everything that I like to watch.

Netflix has a lot of the better movies/documentaries and Hulu has all the Comedy Central stuff along with History and A&E shows.
Crackle is a free movie channel I got on the Roku and that has some cool movies from time to time.

Now if Fox Sports would pull their head out of their ass and offer the streaming App as a standalone service I would be set.

Netflix has better movies, hulu usually has more episodes/seasons and a lot of tv series, but little movie selection. Amazon prime came free with my phone and it hardly has anything intersting.

I used to use that A LOT but have slowed down after getting a letter from Comcast. I did use it for SoA Season 7 episode 1 though. I may get antsy and download the rest of the season.
