I watching an east coast stream and loving every minute of it! So many memories, so many laughs...good times and they are doing an outstanding job.

btw: its 3 1/2 hours long, catch it if you can. (it will be replayed on Friday night)

Damn did you see how old Chevy Chase looks? He is the same age as my dad, but looks 10+ years older.

Hardly recognize him:

Watching it now. Pretty entertaining so far. The celebrity jeopardy things are always some of my favorites

I grew up with SNL also. Had some good and not so good decades. Pretty big figures in the audience for sure.

The Eddie Murphy portion was pretty disappointing so far tonight. Very little of Steve Martin too.

Guess my expectations are a little too high.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised. Great show and glad so many came back to do it.

They spend a few seconds on some iconic past SNL cast members, but give Kanye West a whole song.....
NBC is selling out to "pop culture"....Sad really

Yeah...and they doubled-down on Kanye shit to ruin the Wayne's World segment.

F that no talent a-hole. When will somebody knock his ass down a few pegs?

Such an iconic show, 40 years is amazing.

So many great memories, so many current "big name" stars that got started on SNL.

But the Kanye "song" was waaaaayy to long (plus he's an asshole), then Paul Simon closing out the show with a dud. Was expecting something really big for the end of the show, not a boring Paul Simon song.

My kids thought Chevy Chase looked like Ben Franklin.

Overall though it was really great show.

Because of this show I've now actually listened to a song from Mylie Cyrus and Kanye West for the first time. I officially don't get it. Fucking painfully bad but hey, I'm not the intended audience. Show overall was good, way too long and needed more Bill Murray but it was cool to see so many people I've enjoyed watching for all these years.

Didn't sit through all of it. She sings like a man talking.

Ha!!! The Kayne song was so painful along with him laying the floor. Cyrus wasn't much better either. Kayne is such a douche, not sure why he has a big following. I liked the Will Ferrell singing and palying the piano skit. Overall the show was great I thought.

So many highlights! Kanye was the only lowpoint. He's too rude for my refined tastes

I'm still trying to figure out how/why Miley Cyrus and/or Kanye West was featured when there's so many other great musical acts that could have performed.
Lorne Michaels isn't quite the genius he thinks he is.
