Those look similar to the old Thor Quadrant boot, which was an ok entry-level boot. They won't last too long if you ride several times a week, but they'll last a season easy if you're a weekend warrior type.

well I ended up with some Alpinestars Tech 3 boots.

Now for a helmet, looking at a Bell MX-2

That bell is a solid helmet for a weekend warrior coming back to the sport. Just make sure to check it after big crashes. If the foam is compact or cracked in any way, you need a new helmet. Don't want to be gambling on your noggin. Good luck getting back to it!

roger that on the helmet.

Its taking time for me to sort thru all the details, too friggin hot to ride anyway right now, other than the rip around the house to bug the neabours (not really they dig it).

looking at some EVS RS9's not sure if I should pop for the pro or reg.
