I had a bike carrier on my previous vehicle (F-150) and I've seen photos of carriers in smaller cars. Is this a viable option or should I just look into a small 2-3 rail trailer. Thanks!

I've seen both. I think the small trailer will put less weight on your car, it's more just pulling it along.

I just started using my bike carrier again cause I'm in between pickups right now and I definitely prefer it over my trailer because not only is it easier to maneuver and park but with a trailer there are many things that can go wrong. Just have a big 250-300 pound guy or two smaller people sit on your rear bumber and see how much the rear sags. If it's bad do the trailer but if not I'd go with the carrier!

Thanks for the suggestions. Appreciate it. So far having a car has worked out for the better. Good thing e-trailer offers a Class II hitch for my car. A lot manufacturers don't have that option.

I have thought about this. Instead of keeping the old truck around for the bike. I prefer driving our second car around for everyday. Subarus do have some of the heavier hitch weight ratings. They are made for outdoor play.
