You're welcome. People will be naturally curious when they meet you. Just be friendly and smile a bunch and use your accent on the girls and you should get along fine.

Many Americans think the French are a bit snobbish, so help to break that stereotype.

With an attitude like that, you'll be welcomed. Just remember there are always a few jerks in every crowd that won't like you because you're not from there. Ignore them and count on your true friends. Again, have fun and forget what you hear on the news or read about America - it is more than what the media tries to make it into.
