Kx250 good beginner bike?

Hi, I'm new to motocross, and dirt bikes all around, and I was wondering if a kx250 would be a good bike to learn on. I am 15 yrs old and I'm 5'11" and 145. Or should I get a different bike? Thanks.

I am 23, at 5ft 11'' 155 Ibs and I just picked up a kx250 2 stroke. Both my friend and I did. So far we are enjoying the hell out of the bikes but they do come out like a bat out of hell in once that power band kicks in. Great bikes all around and enjoy it on the tracks.

I recommend a Yamaha YZ125. Buy the newest one you can afford. A beginner friend of mine found a 2002 that was in excellent condition for about $1K a couple of years ago.
